They are really not to be missed. Uya is the best of the lot but its a crime if you pick one and leave others. 4th one, deadlock is a non story title, more like a big battle arena game, and the other two are shoddy ports of psp games. Avoidable. For similar games on ps2, you can go for Jax and dexter, its very similar to RnC but with less of shooting. Its another great platformer, mostly remained under RnC's shadow and is developed by a certain naughty dog then there is sly cooper series also on ps2. It took me a while , but understood the basic elements but one thing which i cannot get the grips of is the story, should i read up the story of previous iterations ? Also i upgraded my plasma/rod blaster and it's on level 2 but i found dome raritium or something to upgrade them, so will i get a person who'll upgrade them , and the bolts are like currency right ? I swapped out Demons souls after a particularly infuriating session and figured I would give it a spin for 15 minutes. And ended up playing for 2 hours. Its a shame games of this type are pretty much dead on the HD consoles. There has been no Sly game in half a decade. ND abandoned Jak for UC (poor trade IMO). And Rare lost whatever talent they had a decade ago. Wii seems to be the only console thats doing this type of thing. Imagination seems to have taken a back seat otherwise. dante77 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Share Posted October 18, 2011 It is indeed awesome. The only negative point I found in the whole is that it was too easy............like a cake walk. Anyways, the level design gets better and better as you progress especially those pirate levels and yeah, platformers are pretty much dead this gen. I miss them I can hardly think of a single new plaformer IP this gen and by platformer I mean cartoon themed games (to avoid confusion). There are just way too much FPS this gen. You already seeing the state of these game now beside ps3 install base is not big also like it use to be during ps2 days ....UC created a new stunning franchise for sony that they can ride on....jak is not going anywhere...they said they will come back to it at one point my guess Jak and daxter is next after UC3....dont say that they should have keep doing Jak only.....
