Ne0
Hi, till today, i was connecting my ps3 to my philips HT system using normal Audio cables. I decided to try the optical output, but for some reason, my hts isn't able to play it. I get no sound output, I tried asking on various forums, and one person mentioned that it might be because linear pcm is enabled on my ps3, and philips hts do not understand that format. So i need to disable it first and change it to RAW format. Or select just dts/dolby. But when i select digital/optical option in ps3 sound settings, i see that linear pcm 2ch is selected by default and there's no way to deselect it and select only dts/dolby. Can someone please help me on how to disable this option ? I want to select only dolby/dts - how to do it ? I tried changing the option to bitstream in bd audio settings -> optical output as well. But no help. I get no sound output from my philips hts when connected through optical cable. Please help, what could be wrong ?
