What I love and What I hate about my PS3 Slim

Recommended Posts

I just bought a ps3 slim and I thought it would be nice if I share my impressions about the console, just my little harmless opinion you know

What I love

--->It runs on my inverter!!: I owned an xbox before this, and it used to show me the red rings whenever light used to go,even my friends ps3 phat used to do that but the ps3 slim runs on my inverter without a sweat......

---->Looks: I bet I am going to be flamed for this but in my opinion the ps3 slim looks better than the phat the reason it does not look so good on the image is because its front part and the region along the on/off button and eject button are hidden,in reality it looks *wow* :wOOtjumpy:

----->Media Streaming:I had my house equipped with WLAN yesterday, and I tried to stream movies to my ps3,and it worked without a hijink it was full DVD quality without lag or buffer (I ran The dark knight)

------->Games: Obvious reason

What I hate

------->The ps3 'proprietery' power supply cord:This thing sucks, and it is still listed as a feature

1.The stupid plug is loose on my power supply and because of that I hear a hissing sound and my ps3 shuts off randomly

2.I remember once people where drilling in my house.Drilling has an adverse effect on the voltage,I had a xbox at that time so I was playing on my xbox while theese people where drilling due to voltage problem my power brick burnt out but my xbox was safe.If I was playing a ps3 at that time I bet my ps3 would have burnt out but my controller would have been safe

----------->I cant listen to music or go on the browser while playing games =(

----------->Ps3 doesnt get updated if I use a CD or a DVD,I have to use a pen drive for some very starnge reason

So guys what do you think?

I think this issue is unique to you. I've never had an issue like that. I'm using a phat PS3 though

USB drive is more convenient IMO

I Love

1. DVD upscale, this is amazing. Its as good as any other stand alone DVD upscale player.

2. Media streaming

3. PS3 exclusives

4. Slim looks

I hate

1. "PS3" logo font on the PS3, the spiderman font was superb.

Aww Jiggy, get off that fence!

I love that the PS3 I don't have is so much awesomer than the competition, and hate that it seems to lose features with every system update.
