The kid who was live on the Fox show regarding the dusty PS3 is reportedly a professional actor who has been paid to act on Fox news before. The kid doesn't mention he is a pro actor and secondly fails to mention just how dusty his PS3 was which has sparked views that Fox has once again has failed to provide fair and balanced views on the problem.

a single dusty ps3 gets nationwide coverage ,whereas the mass failure of the 360 aka the RRoD goes unnoticed for almost more than a year

Can someone back this statement ? Any video of him appearing on Fox before?

Okay, the kid is an actor. So f#$ing what? Actors aren't allowed to buy PS3s? Do they forfeit the right to complain about bad customer service?

If he was indeed acting, why would he use his real name?

So all you Sherlocks can can google his name, check his IMDB profile and call BS on this story??

Dirty PlayStation Kid responds to conspiracy theories

From Playthree.net

________________________________________________________

Reid Godshaw, the Dirty PlayStation Kid™ has contacted PlayThree.net to debunk the conspiracy theories against him. He states that he is a long time Sony consumer, a genuine customer, and categorically denies being paid to attack Sony.

Reid Godshaw is the all-American kid who shot to notoriety when his PlayStation 3 broke. Sony refused to fix it claiming it was too dusty. However gamers began to get suspicious because pictures of his PS3 showed a console that wasn't just dusty, but actually covered in a thick layer of dirt. Eager gamers then discovered that the Dirty PlayStation Kid™ was a bit-part actor. Conspiracy theories suggested that his whole story was a big set-up against Sony intended to damage consumer confidence in them. Speculation then turned to who was the puppet master. Could it be a rival console maker?

NO. Godshaw has written an emotional post to PlayThree.net to share his side of the story. He says "Yes im an actor, No i definitely have never appeared on Fox News ever before. No i wasnt paid or encouraged by anyone to attack Sony." He goes on to say "First off, I emailed this to Consumerist as soon as i was told that in order to get pictures of my system i would have to subpoena them. Yes I'm an actor, No that doesn't mean i just go out and buy a new console, or just dish out 150$ to have them dust my 600$ console off. I did what i thought was necessary." Perhaps if you thought it necessary to wipe a cloth over your PS3 once in a blue moon all of this could've been avoided?!

Reid Godshaw I am glad to set the record straight, and link to your crap. Please let us know what is happening with Sony and your PlayStation 3, I want to know how this story ends. And don't be too upset by all the press, your IMDB star rating is up 6000% which means film executives will be taking note. Maybe next year we will get to see you in the Christmas PS3 ads?
