Rosh
If any of you don't happen to have an air conditioner , put a wide bucket filled with water in the room , with the fan turned on, it'll keep the room a lot cooler.

ALPHA17
Jugaad Common sense actually. Earlier, cooling in Indian palaces and forts was varied out with this principle only. In-fact even a modern water cooler works on this principle. put a wide bucket filled with water in the A tub? Although old palaces did work this way, they used to drench the wooden shades (used like curtains on windows) and put them across the wind blow corridor, that cooled the air a lot downside is that at humid places this does not work well since the air humidity increases considerably by this method it does not matter if the water is never present inside the cooler, you can put the input to a bucket outside the cooler and it wills till work fine
HarishProGamer
Went to Hyd, for 3 days for house registration and Damn! Couldn't bear the Heat, Guess that day was 42/43 Degrees around 1:20 PM.. Last Thursday as well as Friday also and on top of that 2 hrs. Power Cut. Pissed off and went to see movie in AC Theater. Bangalore is a better place but the climate here too deteriorated since past few years. It's just April beginning and Im feeling the Heat. egg man
Bangalore has been extremely hot since last 3 years. In 2006, such hot weather would've been unimaginable in Bangalore.

It will only work if the water is ice cold or literally in ice form, which if physics serves me right, wont be a permanent feature as seeing the need for water in bucket is caused by ball sweltering temperatures in the first place. May onwards there is occasional rain so it is more tolerable. But April is really bad.
