I was checking the forums of TDU , most say its a bad 360 port for PC , fps is very low around 30 even resolution is changed to 800x600 from 1920x1080 , on top end PC's with GTX 460,470 etc.. Bad animations (PS2 level) and terrible voice acting. But driving is fun even though I don't have a very good car right now. There are three driving difficulties, easy, sport, and hardcore. It's on easy by default, which is terrible and is actually more difficult coz it drives like its on rails. Change this setting before you start playing. Sports is alright, but I like hardcore best. HundredProofSam Posted February 11, 2011 Report Share Posted February 11, 2011 Wow so it turns out the game requires you to be connected to its servers at all times, and what do you know, their servers have been offline for a few hours now, so I can't even play offline unless I create a new profile and start from scratch. Servers are also down for the console versions, and those guys are even having their save games erased. HundredProofSam Posted February 12, 2011 Report Share Posted February 12, 2011 Its decent, but you can't look around inside the cockpit view, which can be a bitch while going into 90-degree turns when there's traffic, especially in delivery missions and jolt missions where going off the road, driving recklessly or crashing ends the mission. I prefer the chase cam. Really starting to love the game now as I drive around. As per one of the Steam achievements, I've driven over 200 km so far and I haven't even covered 1/10th of Ibiza, and there's Hawaii too. Draw distances are great. Earlier it used to be between 20-60, now it's 40-60. I'm guessing the framerate issues could have been down to the fact that it's a persistent online world and the server was acting up.
