I have Crysis 2 and DA2 to play and I was instead up till 4 am playing this. It's too good. I especially love the winding hilly roads that they've added this time. Very Initial D-ish and great for drifting. I don't think I've ever played a game that makes buying a car feel so special. Walking into a showroom, test driving all the cars, and then buying one. It feels a lot better than scrolling through a list and picking one. I love this post! I spent all of Saturday evening basically doing what Sam did (ie, side missions). Car deliveries, speed traps, dropping people off, etc. Its hard to stop once you get going because not only are you leveling up as your doing these missions, but you're also 'discovering' the island, earning cash and unlocking random nonsense for your houses and avatar. Sunday was when I decided I should be doing something useful and finished a couple of licenses. Off-road and asphalt. Driving off road in a storm with lightning flashing in the horizon is way too atmospheric for its own good. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
HundredProofSam Posted March 22, 2011 Report Share Posted March 22, 2011 Ya, I can tell that this isn't the most graphically accomplished game around, but man is it beautiful. Every now and then I'll find myself at a point where the view is so stunning that I just have to add it to my favourites, so I can jump to it at any time. And there are so many of these locations. In any other game, if I find that I have to drive 26 miles to get from where I am to my next mission, I'd just move on to something else. But here I have absolutely no problem driving 26 miles simply because even that is so much fun and so eventful. The environment never gets monotonous, you will come across wrecks, earn points for driving fast and evading traffic, or find other players racing around doing their own thing.
