_KaRaN_
Okay, so i have a noobish query here . I have a 512 kbps BSNL connection. The problem is, that i'm not getting enough speed on my PS3. It was fine some 2-3 days back. During the connection test, with different settings (like wired, wireless, different DNS etc) i'm getting different speeds which is but, still nothing around 470+ kbps which it used to show in the connection test 2-3 days back. Sometimes, it would show 120+ kbps or 80 kbps or any other number. The wierd part is, that on the PC its fine :ouch: Help IVGians

vbhoj74
I recently got a BSNL 1100 combo plan on which PSN just refuses to connect. On the connection test it shows success till internet connection, then at PSN connection it fails. Everything works with the same router on an airtel broadband. Maybe BSNL is filtering PSN out ? anyone else having issues with the new BSNL plans ?
Shantz
^^ did you update to 3.30? without it it wont connect to psn.. btw mes getting super slow speeds with psn.. every download on ps3 never reaches more than 20-25 kBps while on PC I can easily do around 200 kBps

vbhoj74
Guys i'm on the latest fw3.3 and have tried various dns including open and BSNL assigned. Remember I said: 1) while running the Internet connection test it passes till Internet connection and fails at testing to get connected to PSN only. My previously pending downloads also gets resumed at this juncture. It just won't let me connect to psn. 2) with the same router with same settings and dns, the Airtel connection works just fine. So I think BSNL is filtering psn or online gaming on their new plans, unless someone else has a different experience? I've already applied for Airtel disconnection. Shantz
^^ looks unlikely that they will filter gaming connections.. have you tried with wired connection instead of wireless?
