AtheK
    It is a kick a*s phone guys, only if LG can solve the Update problem and release 4.4 by end of year, it will be amazing.   My citibank card was declined as well which was saved, need to check again today.   Strange. Def something at Google's end. Also the 50INR charge got cancelled seconds back. On a different note, what you see through the quick view cover on G2, are these widgets with call/date/time/alarm stuff or apps with the stock launcher ? As in will they still work if you switched to Apex/Nova ?  I tried with buzz and themer, they work so def not something embedded in stock launcher.  @Shantz: i read somewhere they are planning to skip 4.3 and go to 4.4, maybe wrong info. Also lot of rumours about G2 google edition is being thrown about, if that happens it will be nice.  Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
AtheK
So if the G2 is this good and the Nexus 5 is based off the G2..... then  Nexus 5 is little bro of g2, at a cheaper price immediate software update and great community support. That said as of now i have no desire to move to custom rom, even my Z is on stock rom.  Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

Besides it's not custom ROMs I get a Nexus for. With the N4 I stayed on stock and got all the updates from Google as and when they happened. I just want to be on pure stock rather than a manufacturer ROM.
Bird Bird Bird
Will be interesting to see if LG *actually* supports the phone this time. Also let's see how the modding community reacts to it.

Smaller battery, lesser camera, smaller screen, no ir blaster some differences in hardware this time.  Also i do not like stock look at all what is the point if so much power under the hood till your phone can't do some fancy stuff. Very true, LG is aiming to play with big boys with this kind of hardware, they have to match up at software end. If they update G2 on time it will help sales of G3 in a really good way.   Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

But the camera needs a bit of improvement to justify another purchase and it would have been nice to have the IR blaster in there. I guess we'll find out soon enough.  You can do fancy stuff with your phone on a stock ROM, it doesn't exactly prevent you from running any apps (whether they require root or not) just because you're on stock. Hardware changes, of course, aren't possible, that I agree on.

Hardware changes, of course, aren't possible, that I agree on.  The hardware changes are confirmed lacking from the leaked manual. The biggest drawback is the battery 2300 vs 3000 is a huge difference.  Also stock does not give you many customized features of manufacturer rom like knock knock, guest mode, qslide and few more. All apps i agree can run on both.  Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

Source: https://plus.google.com/110558071969009568835/posts/faV87FweaFe err..wouldn't it need that info given the contextual/every day changing kind of launcher it is supposed to be? Or did you think it will do that without mining the data it's mining? I guess the issue is that it's open to all (oversight by devs?) instead of the data itself that is being taken.
