Looks like it's a widespread error. So even flashing your firmware wouldn't help.

Either root and install a custom rom, or wait for Samsung to release a fix.

that wifi thing didn't work?

Check these threads.

so it's a widespread error and they will still no replace it and can neither fix it, wow very consumer friendly company

if a flash would work then ask them to flash the older version, it may take like a few hours for them to do it, but I doubt they will flash an older version, typically these service center guys flash the latest one only.

I will update on it today evening or by tomorrow, as i haven't used it yet going out for classes.

Flash it yourself mate, they kept my phone for 10 days a for a minor usb port replacement

I am worried about the knox counter being triggered but I'll check for a simple DIY guide.

So today I woke up and saw a big crack along my HTC One but the screen is working fine and it's barely noticeable.

So will the crack grow in coming days?Any tips to prevent it?

Will they replace the whole screen with the digitizer which might be really expensive or just the glass part?

Mere phone ko nazar lagi hui hai bc

Well it's still rebooting randomly, and I am unsure if samsung will find a fix for this since the Galaxy S5 is just around the corner :(

With all these issues reported for different phones I wonder if there is a manufacturer worth buying from.

Are swipe gestures working elsewhere? Install another launch and then try? I recommend Nova launcher

Try rebooting your phone or else if all fails, try the dreaded "battery pull". :)

My S3 is still getting updates, don't worry.

BTW guys the screen of my Dads S4 broke, any idea how much a replacement will cost ? Its the LCD not the digitizer.

A simulated battery removal technique used when you cannot physically remove the battery.

This won't be necessary because the XPERIA L has a user accessible battery.

pull out your battery and then put your battery back in.. don't know what the hell it does.. but for most of the time, it fixes almost everything :P
