Below 1k preferred Following, JVC HA-FX34 'Marshmallows' SoundMAGIC ES18 SoundMAGIC PL21 The PL21 is a bit on the flimsier side of things, so be warned. The Marshmallows are tanks, I gifted my pair to my sister, has endured and survived everything short of being sent for a wash. Hope this helps, Cheerio! Mizanurification Posted May 31, 2014 Report Share Posted May 31, 2014 Been using ES18 for a year and its awesome. It sounds good/balanced and quite sturdy. However it doesnt have mic. Recently bought Skullcandy Inkd coz i wanted something within 1k with mic and its AWEFUL. I wish i bought the Cowon Em1 and trusted the negative reviews about Skullcandy. Might just get that only. Havent used the EM1 myself but read that its the best -1k IEM with mic. If u need a mic, go with cowon else ES18.
