^^ Dual-sim is a preference but not a compulsion.

I'd prefer known brands, since I travel a lot and spend most of my time in Dubai, dont want to be stuck coz I couldnt find a service centre when required.

I would throw in the MOTO X into the fray.

A screen size to match, stock Droid should keep things ticking and you do not seem to be obsessed by specifications so its nifty set of features might be just what you need. If you can purchase the 32GB version from outside India, it would be better.

Moto X, on paper doesn't sound so good. Dual-core, half hd, older proc and yet it is a very talked and nicely accepted phone. Am I missing something? Why is it considered so good at this high price? I don't know much about this phone.

It is just a good phone. With stock Android, some great intuitive features like active display. If you buy it from the MOTOROLA store you can even customise it to your preference.

And it is not a tawaa. A 4.7" screen with 720p is the same as Nexus 4 and I never heard users complain about that. A more sensible lower resolution coupled with a decent battery equates to better standby times.

Also, strong chances it will be supported till the release of Android L.

So, it is just my opinion about it being a decent package overall at its price point. Obviously the Xiaomi mi3 really muddies the water but I would rather avoid being burnt by adopting early and realising that the support network is uneven.

Apart from that, the final purchase is in at the members discretion.

Moto X actually has 2 more cores that were designed specifically for the touchless control functionality.. and all of its touchless control features work really well afaik.. it's practically always listening to you..

Start by rooting it first. Voids the warranty. That will allow ROM installs and change ur life.

Plenty guides on the net
