supersim Posted May 10, 2010 Report Share Posted May 10, 2010 ^^ you need to wait for some time to let it get a fix.. you must be seeing a dish like icon blinking in the notification bar. when it becomes stable/non-blinking, it means it has got a fix..also gmaps will fetch the maps through your data plan (gprs/edge) so if you dont have that enabled, it wont show anything.. so I need to have GPS and GPRS both enabled at the same time to view Gmaps ? btw whats different between Edge and GPRS Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Shantz Posted May 10, 2010 Report Share Posted May 10, 2010 ^^ yes you need both.. actually you can use the maps without gps being on but you cannot find your location automatically in it then.. edge and gprs are packet based technologies over which data transfers happen.. GPRS is older (2G) with slower data rates and Edge is newer (2.5G) with faster data rates.. The only problem so far in X10 is that it still running on 1.6. why would you spend 30k on a phone that was outdated even before it was released when there are much better options available in the market around the same price tag..
