Just the base or even the mids and highs ? to me, its all rounder, thing i was missing in C12 found in it., ultimate pc. The ES18 is a base level In Ear Monitor (IEM), meant to provide an accurate reproduction of sound bar certain characteristics that can be amplified by design and build of the same. Most cheap Chinese, local or branded earphones lack a decent soundstage. A soundstage being the way your sound is layered, with the mid, highs and low frequencies. Now lack of soundstage can either mean that the earphones / headphones have poor separation of these layers or by design do not have this. That is why giving opinion on such peripherals is very finicky. You might like my personal preference or absolutely dislike it. Long story short; do a little research and purchase a pair, like it, carry on. Do not like it, explore some more, make another purchase and carry on. Had some PAYBACK points, so, it cost me only 387.25 bucks. At that price, even if I don't like it, should not be a problem.
