achilles
Guys shud i installed andriod 2.2 on my htc hd 2 ? http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-android-2-2-froyo-on-htc-hd2-easily/ Seems to be very easy, & also a strong rumor is up dat windows 7 wil be made available on htc hd2 though its hacked & out already but the process is very complicated for nowmal users to do it.. As mine is already unlocked shud i install andi or wait for win 7 or somtin? I've used an HD2 on froyo and it lags pretty bad. Win phone 7 mite work too since the HD7 is basically the same hardware underneath.

Shantz
Err, no. The HD7 uses a 2nd gen Snapdragon while the HD2 uses the 1st if I'm not wrong. Different SoC altogether. Same SoC. But hw configurations are pretty different. I wouldn't put it past a port though..
Superfrag
Oh ok.. hmm. But doesn't a minor hardware change make it a different SoC? :/
Shantz
when i say hw change, it means changes in peripherals connected to the SoC, not within the SoC itself...that's why i said "hw configuration" because this leads to software only changes for the SoC to cater to them Edited October 12, 2010 by Shantz

Superfrag
Ah k.. @MT : If you take a closer look, the HTC models have the 2nd gen MSM Snapdragons, while all the other manufacturer's seem to have the 1st gen snapdragons(QSD). Guess this means that HD2 can get a WP7 port for itself. But this also means that the battery life and graphics peformance of the HTC phones will be better than the rest. (Assuming, taking a look at the specs) http://www.qualcomm.com/products_services/chipsets/snapdragon.html Sent from my T-Mobile G2. Shantz
^^ As I mentioned in WP7 thread, it's just a typo in engadget article. There are no MSM packages for 8x50

Could be a typo on Engadget as I dont see any MSM8250 chipsets listed on the Qualcomm page. There's a 8255 and thats it.

My weight is 102 kgs
PLEASE SUGGEST ASAP HOW TO GET 3G BSNL SIM IN LUCKNOW ??
Bird Bird Bird
First Either go to a BSNL Shoppe (as they are called) franchise & get a new 3G sim (There's one @ Mahanagar near PNB) or simply get a BSNL 2G sim from those roadside BSNL vendors sitting under the umbrella. .. But after taking the 2G sim you will have to get it converted to 3G. And as far as my experience is concerned, the normal recharge shops have no f**king idea about 3G conversion/tariffs/services. You WILL need to visit a franchise (BSNL Shoppe) to get your work done. Once converted, just get a data recharge done plus don't forget to get a list of all the data recharges & tariffs they have. This will ensure you can get future recharges done from any vendor rather than visiting the franchise again Do get it. 3G works great !! Edit: Conversion is just Rs. 1 Edited October 13, 2010 by F@tm@n
El Tigre Chino
What are the 3G tariffs? Better than than the mobile internet ones?
