Monokuma
^ What all permissions does that application nest under? GPS is switched off under main settings. Then how is the app using it? :/
nads
Guys need ur help.... Utterly confused between OPO & Huawei honor 6.... I know honor 6 is a little weak for games but apart from occasionally playing real racing don't do much..... Right now am using Huawei ascend g700 and its rock solid except that i want to upgrade to something faster.... Again r read the news cyanogen won't be supporting Indian version of OPO.... So reconsidering that would it be wise to go for OPO.... Kindly help.... Especially those who already have OPO [emoji16]

The Wolfy among us
OPO will be supported worldwide. If you are ok with flashing the rom yourself, then OPO is the best choice. Besides, How is the support of Huawei for software upgrades? And XDA has a bigger developer community for the OPO if that means anything to you. I am fine with flashing roms in fact that is the main reason to go for OPO.... Huawei is shitty in upgrading their ROM.... I have been using ascend g700 for the past 1 year but have never received any updates plus the community is next to non existent.... I can get tidbits from Chinese forums but it's really difficult to come across them.... Have checked xda forums for honor 6 and we do have an active community there so it won't be a problem this time around.... I have checked the benchmark scores on various websites except games the kirin chipset beats the snapdragon 801.... Plus the honor has removable battery and expandable storage... Basically this is where i am stuck should i pay 2 grand more just for ROM development and 5.5 inch screen... Which will in most probable (50-50% chance) of have the yellow banding.... And some set of bugs in the ROM... So Pls enlighten me guys.....

ALPHA17
GPS is switched off under main settings. Then how is the app using it? :/ You need to contact the App developer ASAP. Because I cannot figure that out or wait for Shantz Baba to comment. Also, not sure if this is posted but here goes nothing, Cyanogen will not support 1+ 1 in India.
Shantz
I looked at the HDFC app in play store. It asks for below permissions: Locationprecise location (GPS and network-based)approximate location (network-based) So it can use GPS even if you turn it off. It is shady though why is it using it so much (or even needs it at all in the first place). You should leave a bad feedback and question them about it. godspeed4476
If you want something which actually is a phone then m8 is great. Everything else is just a slab of screen.... (Except Xperia's and hate to say but iPhones) microphone quality of m8 is unbeatable which should be the primary focus for a phone anyways, i don't have to anything say for looks and speakers are really great and i really like the cameras (front and back). Did they resolve the pink tint camera issue? my M7 has started showing it, and need to sell it off and buy new phone

Oh :/ I guess they use the GPS to pinpoint nearby ATMs and branches I guess. But dunno why it has to even after I switch it off. It should be request based which is not the case here...
