Death Stryke
3G is quite fast. Browsing is almost instantaneous. Only thing slowing you down would b your phone browser which eventually slows down when too many tabs n heavy websites r open. Btw right now I hit 2.7mbps download speed. But maybe coz its early morning. Will see how it goes in the day again. Fb twitter etc also refresh faster. My email is push so makes no difference. Most difference comes if u use RSS and while browsing. Browsing on edge was a plain PITA. Took the flexishield plan. Makes most sense to me. Bulovski
I can't download apps from the market!!! I can look them up but they don't download - tried it on both wireless and edge.

El Tigre Chino
What does HeyTell do btw. Been seeing a lotta articles bout it. Took the plunge with airtel 3G. Decent performance so far. Huge improvement from edge (duh). Getting speeds of 1000-1100 kbps. Falls to 900 sometimes. Decent i guess. No idea what'll happen when congestions starts off. Has it launched officially there or are you in one of those experience zones thingy?

Solitaire
On vodafone? I heard this happen before on a particular plan. You mean the 98 plan on Vodafone that lets you use ONLY the browser. They changed it a few months ago to let you use any application if you throw in a 98 booster/ bonus card. I'm using that on EDGE. Solitaire
Yay.. I 've got Hey tell app on my phone.. And it's brilliant.. What the hell were you doing when I posted the link here a few days ago? | | | V I didn't either. Looking at a thread about it on XDA it seems the app has popped up and disappeared and popped up again once before too. So try again later. You can get the apk file here - http://getandroidstuff.com/heytell-andorid-download-app-pushtotalk-pttt-3g4gwifi/ . Hope this ain't against the rules because the app is free anyway. Might as well just download the apk and install it if you want to give it a try.

Shantz
How much time does it take to start off, like when you're on edge and you want to check something it takes a while to connect first. Does 3G have the same thing? edit: and just 1000? at the start? that's disappointing. Just 3 times faster than edge. I dont have any such delay with EDGE. It is always connected for me and anything is instantaneous Edited January 30, 2011 by Shantz

This happens to me too but only with Bulk SMS. Probably the ones bunched together are using the same provider..
