Hot-Drake-Pixel
Nice! Best of luck! Although I'm not sure how the Purple theme will work out. It will not, for many of us. But that will not stop me from providing options(tons of them in terms of customization).
achilles
I dont have any such delay with EDGE. It is always connected for me and anything is instantaneous erm. It's always been like that for me. Takes about 10 secs to respond, so i guess it's connecting while on wi-fi the response is immediate. In my old WM smartphone and other feature phones, there used to be a setting which said connect only when needed,i.e., it will connect to edge only when an app requests net access. I guess you might have a similar setting in iPhone or maybe it has this behavior by default (looks doubtful).
MarketTantrik
What does HeyTell do btw. Been seeing a lotta articles bout it. Its a free Push To Talk (PTT) app that has cross platform compatibility with iOS and Android.

I never used to keep it always on in my Nokia phones too. Though 3G doesn't have that "gap" even if it's not always on.
delpiero10
Hey guys, any thoughts on owing a Motorola? I`ve got my eyes set on either getting the Motorola Defy or wait for a bit and get the Samsung Galaxy Ace. Most of the dealers i`ve spoken with are recommending against the Moto, any moto users in here?
MarketTantrik
The defy is a pretty awesome model and Moto is an ardent supporter of Android.
megzworld
I am using Moto and though SGS is better in the look department, Moto is sturdy and no complaints so far!
outsider
I can't wait for the Google Nexus S to get here. It's scheduled for end of Q12011. It's time to give the old iPhone the heave-ho and jump on the android bandwagon.
Shantz
Moto/samsung/Sony are the worst offenders in not upgrading their phones. I would never buy their phones. Even Defy is coming with 2.1 in this age when 2.3 is out. They are more than 1 year old in their OS version.
Solitaire
Don't get a Moto , unless you're getting the Atrix. Atleast you'll have the latest hardware for like a month or so
Solitaire
So I've updated to 2.3.2 by flashing Modaco's r10 release. A teensy bit snappier than stock I must say. Then sat through the night trying to theme it until finally settling on the Tangerine theme from the XDA forums. Of course I had to painstakingly choose all those icons myself one by one. So much work. And here are my current homescreens. Still using ADW Ex. There're also 4 invisible SiMi folder widgets hidden in that last screenshot btw. A bit sad that I had to move away from my old Tron theme though. Edited January 31, 2011 by Gaurav - Solitaire
Superfrag
Quick question ; in the Tangerine theme, the signal icons always stay orange? Do they change color depending on whether they have connection to Google Servers or no? (Like Stock changes from white to green)

Also wifi performance seems to have improved, as in better signal in places far from the router where I didn't quite have a stable connect before, after flashing this ROM. Though I don't know if this is some side effect of the router being tilted a little while the cleaning lady was dusting the place. Death Stryke
I've modded my SGS to use the Nexus S boot animation (which looks kewl btw), the nexus S sound and keyboard . Nexus S screen lock animation is coming soon. This is my theme. I got it off xda. Simple stuff
