Solitaire
lol.. nomophobia Not quite. I don't mind not having the mobile phone near me. The majority of the time I'm at home, I don't have the mobile phone within immediate reach. But it has to be charging all the time. More like charge-o-mania . Charge charge charge! Death Stryke
I am liking Dolpin mini browser. With 3G, i'm using the mobile browser a lot more. Dolphin mini uses much less ram than the official one and is less prone to crashes after extensive usage. But there is 1 small niggle I face and I have no idea why. It keeps shoving the setup wizard on my face everytime i start the app No idea why that happens. And it happens to some percentage of users. Hope they release a fix asap. Solitaire
And you say it because? Software Updates. You'll get Gingerbread on the phone and then Sony will drag their heels and give you the next update half a year late when compared to everyone else. They're worse than Samsung and Motorola even. Sony is terrible when it comes to updates. Ask the thousands who bought the Xperia X10 who haven't even got Froyo. You should think about getting either a HTC or a phone from the nexus line. Or atleast the Atrix (seeing how the Xperia Arc doesn't even have a dual core processor, not that you need it but you should get your money's worth since you're buying amidst a flurry of Dual Core phone releases), that way you'll have the latest hardware atleast for a month or two. By the way, I keep refusing my phone to relatives cos they might mess up the screen with dirty fingers, so finally my Mum and Dad made me go to the nearby phone shop and get a screen protector put on. Thankfully, the dude there was very very good at it and he took a generic PET screen protector and cut it to fit the screen portion (leaving the touch sensitive buttons and the front speaker exposed) perfectly. Though I now can't feel the cold glass of the Nexus S as well as I used to be able to, there's no decrease in touch sensitivity and you hardly notice that the phone has a protector on unless you look for it. 150 rupees well spent, now piece of mind when I hand over the phone to any idiot relative. Also slapped on an Amzer Silicone Jelly Case (though I've already scratched the back plenty with several minor scratches) to protect the phone from any short drops and small impacts. Solitaire
While I was at the shop there was this guy and his friend (he had an ipod touch 4th gen on him) who caught a glimpse of my phone and went "Wow Nexus S!". The shopkeeper joined the action (after realizing late that it wasn't an iPhone or a Galaxy S) and soon everyone was checking out the phone and commenting on how awesome the screen and general smoothness of the phone were. Played RED for them (only movie on my hard drive). Then this guy went about describing how he'd got the iPod touch 4th gen (he made a point of saying 4th gen each time ) for his birthday and how it's screen didn't hold a candle to the Nexus S'. Then came the queries from someone else about whether the phone had gingerbread or froyo. Didn't expect a crowd that knowledgeable there quite frankly. Almost had to pry the phone away from the posse that'd taken it over to let one of the guys at the shop finally put the screen protector on it Felt pretty good having a device in my hands that everyone envied

Jigsaw
got myself htc desire HD the battery life is pathetic, doesnt even last a day was doing some research on google and came on this page http://hiendgadget.com/search/htc+desire+hd+battery+saving+tips How to Double Booster HTC Desire HD, Hero, HD2, Desire Z Android Battery Life Tips. To also help with Battery Life you can do these steps exactly: Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour Your battery life should almost double we have tested this on our devices and other agents have seen a major difference as well” has any1 tried this by any chance? my battery is being used by display and android OS !!!! Reason i got the jesus phone Burnt my a$$ and 28k on the Desire last year for the same reason... Funnily my SGS has awesome battery life now as standalone video player in 24x7 flight mode.... Am not sure what it is, but android devices seem to suck battery life as long as the phone is latched onto a network.

Atleast that's the lowest I've seen it go. 33k seems a k higher than what I'd settle for. hows the baterry like?? Terrible. Desire HD = awesome phone. Desire HD battery = Sucks donkey balls. The Battery on the Desire HD leaves much to be desired. Edited February 5, 2011 by Gaurav - Solitaire

Funnily my SGS has awesome battery life now as standalone video player in 24x7 flight mode.... Am not sure what it is, but android devices seem to suck battery life as long as the phone is latched onto a network. It's due to all the synchronization with Cloud and the services running in the background. SGS has below average battery life IMO. Nexus S has decent battery life, with a UV kernel it should get better. Desire Z, with a NON SENSE ROM(CM6.1 or CM7, or any of the stock based ROM's out there) has fantastic battery life.
