Well I've been using it since december and I haven't noticed any lag especially after installing froyo.... And there is a new rom out almost every week for it... the optimus one has nothing but froyo as a plus point which I think you are gonna mod anyway....

Why don't you guys consider the ZTE Blade (also sold as the Orange San Francisco)? Seems pretty good for the price if you just want a really low cost android phone with plenty of dev support from XDA. I was asking about sub-20k phones for a relative and this one was suggested by Superfrag.

I hate LG too. And that's why haven't bought the phone till now. Trust me when I say I'm pulling all strings trying to land a SGSL :wallbash:

Not available in India. Too much waiting time procuring from abroad. :|

Not exactly the same phone, 256mb more RAM on the ZTE Blade than the Dell.

Not exactly.

It's got the same innards as ZTE Blade with soft-locked RAM i.e. 256MB is locked. Modaco has in-depth tuts to unlock the extra RAM hence unlocking the full potential @ 512MB !

Angry Birds Rio exclusive to Amazon Store !

Pretty appalling how fragmented the Android market is ! :|

I wonder how this will work out. Will it result in more exclusives courtesy of the Amazon Store?

WTF is wrong with Dell, why would they prevent the full RAM from being used via firmware?! :S

dell xcd series is a direct rebranding of zte phones.. There are no hardware changes.

My thoughts are:

Yeah, why did they go lock half the RAM :ko:

Wait, so the Dell XCD has warranty support in India itself right?
