Shantz
what is NFC ? near field communications.. eg. those RFID cards that you use to enter/exit an office/parking lots etc.. Not much useful in India as of now since you won't see widespread public use.. (e.g. for credit card payments etc).. but it is nice to have for personal projects and stuff.. Solitaire
Somebody help me please I have a SIPGate account, A Gizmo account (now dead), an IPkall number, all linked to my Google Voice account. I've installed the GVoice callback app as well as Voice+ on my phone and tried calling a US number with both from the phone via Google Voice (using both the callback apps independently). What happens is the app registers the callback successfully (both apps) and then asks me to wait either 15 seconds or 3 seconds (according to the specific app I use) and I get no callback at all after that. I just wait and wait and wait. However, it looks like my calls are going through on the other end of things. The person I'm calling picks up on the other end and I can hear them say hello hello and then put the phone down when I check the sipgate voicemail. Trying it with ipkall as the voicemail gives similar results. My phone doesn't ring with the callback call at all. Please help. Have tried it on two different wifi networks. Solitaire
^^ Are you connecting over TCP or UDP? I had an issue of not receiving call backs when I was using UDP And how do I change that? How are you able to access google voice? Apple reply: Magic! Haha, any way you can access it once you register it successfully using some proxy. Use TOR with the Vidalia + Firefox bundle with exitnodes in the US. It'll work great for registering SIPGate / IpKall / Gvoice etc. Once that's done you'll have no issues logging in to google voice especially if you use that handy little official Google voice chrome extension. Solitaire
You mean download this? My link Yes it's very useful. Once you get that installed, use this - http://www.ghacks.net/2008/01/29/configure-tor-to-use-a-specific-country-as-an-exit-node/ - after finding suitable exitnode servers located in the US. Superfrag
Wow! HTC actually listening to the enthusiast minority, and have decided not to lock the bootloaders on the devices anymore! Guess it had nothing to do with Netflix or anything of the sort, eh? Huge win IMO, as it gives enthusiasts another choice besides LG and Samsung. Only question remains, to what extent will the bootloaders be unlocked, and whether current devices or coming up devices like the Sensation will have their bootloaders unlocked..
