This is all we know. I think the Galaxy Q or whatever it is is the one with the planned 5.3 inch screen

Most definitely a steal at 20k if you're getting one with a SAMOLED screen.

My friend is coming down to India next month, so thought i would get this from US since the Amoled screen models are only available there. Still warranty is the only thing that keeps me disturbing, atleast do people in Samsung service centers service this phone if something goes wrong, because this model in US says only US warranty.

@Shantz: Any tips on how the new Omap 4460 compares to the Exynos in the SGS II?

I asked them 2 months BEFORE the release of the Indian version (with the SLCD screen) whether they had the same batteries for it and they said "We have no information about the product sir, the Nexus S has not released in India". They wouldn't answer specifically if they would service it here. I don't think they will though you can try giving a samsung service center / their hotline a call.

Right now though I've my fingers crossed. It hasn't given me any issues yet. I still have my T-Mobile bill and I'll be taking it with me when I leave. I guess you will have a problem with replacement if you break your screen or something here.

Wait, why is samsung releasing a handset with a 5.3" screen  ????? Is that a phone/tablet/........??

Big enough to bash one's head in with.. 4 inch plus is just TOO DAMN BIG! Like that dell streak monstrosity. Hasn't Samsung heard that size doesn't matter and that it's how you use it

Exynos is the topmost proc you can get right now. OMAP4 is nowhere near it. Exynos might give half a competition to even OMAP5. It is surprising how low they are going to clock it given the potential of Eagle...

720p screen AMOLED would be a big screen, considering the fact that they could not fit in the 800*480 in a 4 incher and had to have .27 inches added onto the S2.

Hey guys,

I just got a Defy. I need a few clarifications. The manual says to charge the phone for 3 hours. The first time I charged it, it completed within an hour. So, I started using it. I did not make any calls all day, but was using internet profusely (GPRS). Backup went bong within 24 hours. Is it because of the first charge, or does internet drain so much or is the Defy like this?

This is the first time I'm using android, so don't know sh*t about it.

Also, now I re-charged it for the second time. Re-charging completed within 2 hours, even though the manual said 3 hours.....am I missing something?

And also, any tips for making the charge last longer?

I was using the battery monitor to track the usage. No demanding app was running in the background, considering it's just a day old. The usual skype, Gtalk, etc. were running though.

you ! :P

Actually it may take a couple of days to a week for the battery to be calibrated properly. And GPRS does take a heavy toll on the battery life. Keeping the notifications which rely on GPRS (like email, IMs etc) off will save valuable battery life. Also keep the brightness of the screen to a minimum.
