Death Stryke
That sucks. the SGS2 had some purported yellowish tint issue as well. But, @Udham maybe if you exchange now, you might get a piece of the latest production, where the mistakes might be corrected. This might sound foolish, but in the past sometimes, its so happened that initial production runs have glitches and problems and they correct it later on. This happened with the iPad 2 as well. I will wait for 2.3.4 to come out, I think its coming next week, already leaked out but I will not try that.
achilles
There really is no difference in touch sensitivity. However, the fitting in jeans thing is certainly subjective. Er..I've felt the responsiveness to touch a tad bit 'behind' in all android devIces I've used. The next best touch responsiveness to iOS is WP7. Even WebOS isn't there yet. devil_angel
Flash the bitch to CyanogenMod 7 (2.3.4 Gingerbread). Problems solved. You mean, it'll be easier on the battery? Also, I want to ask one more thing. Isn't this illegal? (resulting in warranty getting void) I always thought that my phone is incapable of supporting the Gingerbread OS. theneurotoxin
Really? On the SGS, CM7 results in battery rape.

Seriously though, on the SGS, Nexus S, SGS2... devices in that range, there is no difference from the response on iOS. I've found the 3GS and the iPod based on the same to be almost as responsive but the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 is on the same level.
KWC
Gaurav, what launcher are you using? I am currently on Go launcher EX and its fantastic, but they keep updating it weekly! and keep adding/ removing features! Its annoying. Could you please also let me know what apps you are using for the following? Email: Web: SMS: Is there a way to replace the stock log on the SGS 2 or if there is an alternative? Honestly though, I've fiddled with the devIces you mention enough to have come to the conclusion of not buying them. I thought the Nexus S for 19 (you remember me asking about it since i wanted to get it for my mom) odd is an amazing deal until I spent some time with it. I can adjust to the differences in usage, apps and even the average look of the OS but will not compromise on touch response for a touch based device. In my opinion, WP7 is better than android for fluidity in the OS and touch responsiveness out of the box.

Was using LauncherPro but it was getting slow / FCing sometimes. I guess I switched to Go Launcher EX around 2 months ago and it's been smooth sailing since. I haven't missed / noticed any of the recently removed features though, probably cos I haven't used them. Can you list a few though? But the update is a bit annoying. It's like they release updates too damn frequently. Email : K9 Web: Dolphin HD and Opera Mobile (the former most of the time), rarely the stock Browser. SMS : Go SMS (was using Handcent earlier), seems slightly faster than Handcent.

Cos honestly I JBed a 3GS and a 4 for a classmate and another friend and played with each for the weekend. The Nexus S (SAMOLED one) is my daily-use phone and in my experience it's on par with the 4 when it comes to touch response (bearing in mind I use a simple and cheap screen guard kinda film too on it). KWC
The most recent update has this: Folders don't make use of the entire screen. Its 3*4 now.. and no vertical scrolling. It was ok in the app drawer, but quite a pain as a shortcut on the home screen! Luckily they update the launcher weekly, so hope this is rectified in the new update. What are the other cool apps for the phone? Any category..

Maybe though I doubt it. I didn't find te SGS2 so hot either, and the expendable (yuk) Optimus 2x After using the 2x I can compare mine & my bro's reaction to scenes in older Bollywood films when during a marriage ceremony the father of the groom would, very disgustingly, ask his son & wife to "chalo Ji" coz he didn't get the dowry or something Edited July 27, 2011 by achilles
spindoctor
read that google music users have been given invites to the service. someone mentioned in this thread that it can be made to work from india too, so if anyone has an invite to spare i'd appreciate it if you could send it my way.
