Still confused.

How's the Galaxy S LCD? I know it has a better battery.

Any good shops in Gurgaon where the price is cheap?

I like the lcd screen. Display sure attracts. I got my s lcd for 19k from a shop in sec 14 around 4-5 months back. It must b cheaper now but not sure.

Pay a wee bit more and go for the Galaxy S i9000 (the one you refer to is the i9003). Difference is that the i9000 is the original Galaxy S with Super AMOLED screen.

Though in that price range, HTC Desire is also a sturdy popular alternative.

Don't go anywhere near the Galaxy S.

It was one of the Best Android sets available on markets during its launch/days. The only thing bout it that worried many is the absence of the Flash Mode!

Apart from that, its a brilliant set, much ahead in Tech. during its time!

It went parallel with HTC:Desire

IMHO

I have read about rooting but dont have any idea of how to do it. Can anyone please help regarding this ??

you need to change the filesystem to ext4 from RFS..... but before that you need to head over to xda forums and read a bit. A lot of catching up to do mate...

Guys getting the Samsung Galaxy S2 this week. Is there a deal with jailbreaking / hacking of the phone to get all the awesome apps working on it? Current phone is Nokia N82 and this was pretty easily jailbroken/hacked by myself. Is it the same with S2 or should I look to buy a jailbroken pre hacked phone?

Have no clue about latest gen phones so help much appreciated.

S2 is still the best android in the market right? At least it was like a month or 2 ago when I was doing the researching...

It is called Rooting in Android, the S2 doesn't really require a root, Stock is good enough, however I've heard that rooting is simple enough.

S2 is the best android atm, at least until the Nexus Prime comes out later this year.

dont know if i shud ask this here...but anyway...i am goin for a new phone...shall i opt for i-phone 4 or samsung galaxy (the new one) or any other suggestion...also, plz tell me the reason u r suggesting one or the other :)

Depends on what you're comfortable with tbh.

Android or iOS, if you choose Apple, note that there is another phone arriving in a month or so, which should at least result in a price drop for the ip4.

The Galaxy S2 is the best droid atm.

Awesome news, guys..

Amazon app store now works in India. No hacking/workarounds needed. Even free app of the day deals work :)

Just go to http://www.amazon.com/app-email on your phone, install, sign in to your amazon account and off you go :)

Lol dude its the other way round if i remember it correct...cause I think RFS is Samsung's own Filesystem...and the ext2/4 are the faster conventional ones used in a few custom ROMs :)

I didn't know the previous versions didn't work right away without any jhol...gonna try it anyways..but I would hate it if it requires CC details even if I wanna install it just for the free app of the day :P

Yeah.. I noticed that. Its a great news btw.

But still lots of work around needs to be done for India Region.

No workaround is needed now, which is the whole point of me posting it here :P

nopes, Jiggy is correct. He needs to change to ext4 from RFS.
