No offence meant... Just goofing. Not that rooting or jb'ing phones is rocket-science... But really? Getting a cert to be able to install "unsigned" apps = hack

lol none taken. But you do know that a hacked Symbian can have CFWs just like other jb'd devices? There are some good CFWs out there. I dont use them though.

SGS 2 is out of budget for now, 30k is too much. 20k is max I can spend on a phone. In fact I am mighty confused about what to do with 20k:

1. Get a 360

2. Get an Android phone

3. Get PS Vita when it launches

4. Get a 3D Monitor for my PS3

Except 2 and 4, the other 2 option have recurring expenditures for games, and since I have PS3, I dont want to spend that much money again on video games.

How are the Xperia phones from Sony guys? How soon will ICS be available on them?

Well nexus S is available for 19.800 on ebay so think its a much better idea for android phones if 20k is ur budget!!

^^ Rooting doesnt always mean installing "unsigned" apps. Dont forget about custom themes, ROMS and tweaking the OS. :slap:

When did I say rooting = unsigned apps?? :chair:

I lol'ed at a term like hack being used for the s60 devices. I myself used to do it back when I was on s60.

^^ one more vote for Opera Mobile from me.

If I am right, it utilitises hw acceleration if the hardware has it. Never used the stock browser on any android that I've ever had.

Good phone bro. But if I were you, in that price range I would go for a bigger screen than 3.3"

Check out the Galaxy S Plus as others have suggested. Seems a decent enough alternative if you don't want to go the whole hog (read : Galaxy S2)

Is MIUI available for HTC sensation?

Yes. Somehow their website doesn't mention it. S-off and root your phone, install clockwork, download MIUI.us 1.10.14 (not 1.10.7 as its unstable).

I am using N82 (hacked). The screen size is gettin on my nerves. I am leaning towards Nexus S, main draw being its 4 inch screen and upgradability to Android without wait. Else the best phone is Galaxy S2, right?

Or are the Sony phones good? Here are my preferences in order of importance:

Large Screen

Upgradable OS without any wait or minimum wait

8 MP cam.

If I were you I would go for GS2 paying a lil premium. Nexus S is a big NO from my side due to SLCD screen also its not having 3G calling facility from its front cam. I have used both. Also don't go for any Sony Ericsson phones.

Has anyone noticed a drop in battery life after switching to MIUI? I noticed a drastic drop.

Yep bro, but there is a fix available for the same.

I remember reading something around 26k on ebay.in last week and yes its a beast. Still "the best" out there.

PS. SLCD won't satisfy you half as much. Check benchmarks of various top-end phones for various aspects online.
