Which one? There are so many of them. And what is CSC file?

Use Odin to flash such Roms. CSC is the language pack.

I personally am on KI4 2.3.5 rom. Have had it for almost a month now. And am sure there must be newer Roms already by now.

There are so many ROMS there. Its like a maze. Anyways, are there any chances of F**K ups if we install ROM from there? Do we lose data?

Battery life is an issue on S2, i have to charge it everyday.

There is a looooooooong thread on XDA explaining the exact issue. Its related to CPU wake up times etc. Hopefully ICS will fix that.

I've never had anything go wrong with the galaxy S or S2 as far as flashing goes. They are practically unbrickable since you can always get into download mode with the "Vol-Down + Home + Power" combo.

Data gets wiped like apps, games and stuff. Not what you have on the internal 16GB flash memory though. That stays

I dont have a SD card, that means everything stays?

Aaah, finally I can brag that I'm on 2.3.7

Great. Which handset? Change log of 2.3.7?

Yeah everything on the internal 16gig flash memory stays intact. But you lose everything else. Easy to back up and restore first. I assume u r not rooted cos then Titanium Backup is the sex. For non-rooters there's an app called MyBackup. I don't use it though.

Sony Eric really got its act together with their android range of phone this year. they've been regularly updating the 2011 Xperia range wth the latest android version while adding new features of their own. and now they've officially announced that all Xperia range with be getting the ICS update before year end. Along with their stylish looks, solid build quality, best in class camera and audio and decent prices Sony's phones are definitely worth a shot.

From that link:

This is official confirmation of a promise the company made on Facebook last month. It's good to see that the full 2011 portfolio is indeed being included. Now we just need those release dates and we'll be all set.

Kind of twisting the news, aren't we? Sony are going to launch their next flagship phone (Kazumi something, some wierd Japanese name) in Q2 2012. No way they are going to launch ICS in their earlier models before that. Expect ICS for all Xperia after Q2 2012.

Only Nexus S will get ICS before year end, rest all are being overly optimistic.

i think the guy who handles their facebook feed mentioned it'll release soon presumably before year end. btw its Nazomi and its just a codename for what is their next big device and it is supposedly based on the Xperia arc(best phone SE have put out in years). i dont think we'll have to wait till Q2 2012 for it.
