Big Boss
The only downside I can think of is its bulky size, but that seems to be advantage to many. Not sure about book reading apps. It has Kindle app BTW.
The Wolfy among us
And if i have downloaded epubs or pdfs, how do i access them from the kindle app? Is this possible?
MarketTantrik
The Note is fine for reading books. Google "Android epub reader" for hits on epub compatible apps.

Right
No wifi issues for me. Ditto. I haven't rooted it/busyboxed it yet though.
avkash
Its on standby, not under usage. If you are losing 20% in 8hrs under usage, then its great. unless the insects in my house know how to operate the phone, I can fairly assume that it is on standby when whole of my family is asleep.
Big Boss
Ok, you are losing 20% battery when in standby? WTF? Do this: Turn off Wifi, Mobile Network (the internet), GPS, BT etc. Turn off auto sync and background data as well. Then, download and install advanced task manager. Configure it to kill all tasks except the very necessary ones like the Advance task manager itself and the widgets which you use (I only use Clock and Circle battery). Also, dont use any live wallpaper, that just sucks the battery. There are many tasks like FB, Twitter, and other Samsung bloatware which just start for no reason and suck the battery. Whenever you want to browse internet, turn on the Mobile network and use the task. Keep in mind that Advance Task manager will NOT kill the task which you are using and kill only the background ones. Also, as you are on 3G, the battery drainage is more. I suggest you switch to GSM mode when 3G is not required (if its possible in S2, on N82 it was possible)
MarketTantrik
I suggest you switch to GSM mode when 3G is not required (if its possible in S2, on N82 it was possible) Yes, it's possible on all 3G Android devices.

Big Boss
Are you keeping these things ON for the insects in your house while sleeping?
Big Boss
From GauravaH1 the fonearena guy, this is his tweet: The news regarding replacing the I9100 with I9100G is confirmed with respective officials in India. This has created quite a meltdown on XDA
TRMNTR
Using a Task Killer is not required at all. It doesn't save any battery -- on the contrary, if you set it to auto-kill, it becomes a battery hog itself. Solution: 1. D/L 'BetterBatteryStats' from the market. It's paid. OR D/L the free XDA version (buy the market app to support the Dev if the app helps you). 2. Monitor the Kernel Wakelock. It will show you the apps that wake up your phone from deep sleep, thus causing the drain. 3. Un-install the apps which are causing the battery drain. You can read the How-to on the app from within the app for more info. Sent from my GT-I9100
