Yeah, the curvyness is kinda worrying for me. But that aprat, it looks sweet!

The curve actually makes the phone fit better on your phone when you take a call. Thats the intention I think.

Still, a good looking phone and considering its a Sony device, m sure the camera will be good too. I think the best part about this phone is that it has a dedicated camera shutter. My lumia has that too. So much better for taking shots. It should really be made mandatory.

It was a feature which was not appreciated in both these phones in view of shock resistance and screen durability.

Is it? Every review I read praised the curvature. Shock Resistance? Hmmm, I see that it can be a problem with curved surface.

Or did i miss the Samsung Note becoming the new benchmark size for mobile pocketable devices?

Hell no, Samsung Note is the max that any mobile pocketable can be. 4-4.3 inch is quite comfertable for most. I have seen quite a few users fumbling with Note.

^ So by that logic, anything that ships with gingerbread is bad?

What? :scratchchin: R u replying to me? I was replying to anshul who says the Xperia S is small, which it isnt

In any case, shipping a phone in Q2 2012 without the latest OS that released in Q3 2011? Yep, that is BAD, very very bad. The least I'd expect is companies that showcase ICS phones in CES, its the biggest trade show for consumer electronics. How the f**k can they show phones with gingerbread today? Its beyond my understanding.

Samsung Note is not even a phone. I wouldn't be caught alive with that phone next to my ear. Its just a mini tablet of sorts. Something you can use on a couch. Actually, i dont know why someone wouln't rather get the 7" Galaxy Tab in that case. Atleast its a better and bigger device for use on a couch. In any case, u wont use both devices while walking around. Makes no sense.

>4 is not quite comfortable for most. It may be for some yes, but not most. There are pockets with myriad sizes bro. I find it quite uncomfortable to use 4.3" devices wearing fairly fitting formals. When I'm sitting in a car, gettign the phone out of the pocket becomes a huge task. And many other situations, especially one handed use for example. The female crowd especially hates such big phones. I can only pray Apple has some sense and doesn't go beyond 3.7-4"

I find this a very unfortunate trend really, that all the top end smartphones are >4.3" today. What about people who like 4" and below.

This. Whenever I sit in the car (daily that is), I get my phone out first. Earlier, without Casemate case, I used to feel I might break the phone while taking it out of my jeans. In formals it can be okay, but in jeans pocket, its difficult. I cant imagine taking a phone like Note with me daily, unless I wear those baggy bants or cargos or 3/4ths with huge pockets.

Yeah, nowadays even i make it a habit to take the phone out and keep it on the dash. I got those rubber mats which prevent slippage.

I haven't worn baggy pants in years. I think they went out of style with Limp Bizkit :P...

I find it tough with jeans too, especially since denims today come with very small pockets. This is one reason why I like small phones. No one sits around all day watching movies and browsing the internet on the phone to need such big displays like they show in the ads. Who has the time during weekdays.. A phone is first a phone which u use daily for calling, texting, whatsapp etc, then it is everything else.
