FML. I realized that the time has come for a ROM flash but I am on Mac and Odin does not seem to work on it, I did get a Windows to Mac converted version though but it is not recognizing my phone (the ID:ROM column remains blank) I tried Heimdall for Mac as well but it kept giving strange errors when I tried to detect the phone. Is there any other way to do it on Mac or would I have to Reluctantly, with a capital R, have to install Windows on my Mac ? I already reported several I9100Gs going into Bootloop after installing latest FW. Only option is to goto Samsung Care, as Odin wont detect it on Windows. Gave it to service centre , they resolved the problem , of course all data (apps,settings, all) was wiped from phone . After getting it back from service centre , updated the phone again this time using home wifi , fortunately it went good ( i was scared as hell updating it again ) Lesson learnt - use a reliable internet connection while updating. What exactly do you guys mean when you say that this extension isnt trustworthy?Is it because it was developed by a third party and not by google?
