Why will tw run in background if you are using apex or nova.launcher.

Dunno. Just speculating. :P

Anyways not gonna use Apex or Nova as that will require flashing an ICS custom rom. Will probably try Go Launcher EX or ADW.

Lol at all the discussions before even buying the device. :P Still undecided. :fear:

Guys, my friend wants to buy an android phone. he has short listed 2.

Galaxy ace and ace plus. Budget is also around 13-14k.

His mon is aged around 50s, and likes using ipad and has no issues with touch screen. Please suggest which one is better or is there any other deal breaker around same price.

Please reply quickly. I'm banking on you guys to give right option.

Kitna stretch :chair:

Please post price also guys for your choice n prime difference. :kisstogether:

Mota bhai :hug:

Arre 17k tak stretch kar lo. One V comes with ICS and is super smooth to use. Plus better hardware than the current 15k phones. It's a no-brainer really in that price segment.

Because TW will still be running in the BG, hogging memory/RAM (and using up battery ??) (AFAIK).

Another one has seen the light!

Only problem is that I don't know where I can get warranty service for this phone since it's straight from Google (GSM one from Google in the Yoo Yess Yaay hence Verizon won't touch it). And my phantom-charging thing is f**king annoying me. :cry: Apart from that, the phone's great. I gotta find a way to shut off this "screen turns on the moment it thinks it's changing between charging and discharging" to atleast get a stopgap solution such that I won't end up with too much battery drain from a permanently on screen.

Superfrag any ideas? How about you Shantz?

Is Xperia S worth 29k?

Really in love with the design <3

Most of the reviews are criticizing it for not having ICS out of the box, but I really don't care about it.

Other than that, is it worth it or should I wait more?

I saw a demo piece an the video on that thing is just awesome. COlors are so vibrant .....dil aa gaya :)

The 4.3" screen is small and colors are not as vibrant as SAMOLED, i got bored of the phone after an hour and also GB is a little laggy on Xperia S. Looks fade away very quickly.

@Bird: Get HoX.

If warranty is irrelevant, get the Galaxy Nexus. Why you ask?

Better build than the Note, will get every update first before the HOX and the Note plus stock ICS out of the box is better than breaking your head with flashing. Oh and it's only 25K.

Well, I'll prefer warranty if I get it. Plus HOX has amazing (dang amazing) build quality (GNote has the mighty screen & S-Pen). And IIRC, online forums are filled with people criticizing Nexus's camera. Maybe a mini-review from your side would help ease matters a bit. :bigyellowgrin:

Used it for 10-12 minutes. The novelty wears off pretty quickly. Not suggested.

Okie. I also asked him not to go for ace.

Paa ji, too many girly "Okie"s ? :naughty:

@Bird: Get HoX.

@ Bird: Get Note. Once you get used to the size of the screen, you will not want to use anything smaller.

:scratchchin:

I know, but also have to get used to talking with that big a hardware over my ears. :P
