Right
Congrats on the Note. If you like Vanilla ICS, then anything from CM9 to Stunner would do. If you want proper S-Pen functionality, then any of the stock ROMs would be good enough. I'm presently on Criskelo's ICS LPY, and it is working fine, smooth and no hassles. But be very careful while flashing latest stock ICS based ROMs, especially with regards to the kernel. Thanks. Downloading LPY.

Shantz
isn't it Android fragmentation if you compare iOS and Android? Or what would you call it ? It's simply different devices running Android (many of them even running the same Android iteration). They do not constitute fragmentation unto themselves. It is fragmentation only if you have to do something special to support different devices. If you wrote an app and it worked on 100 different devices without doing any special handling in your app, would you call the OS fragmented in 100 parts? If this is the definition of fragmentation, then Windows must be the most fragmented OS out there, with billions of different branded and custom-assembled PCs/Laptops and what not devices running it.

dante77
mujhe to pehle se hi pata tha kaka android nahi sambhal payenge. Are kaka, ek 1100 le lo. Sasta aur tikau just kidding, I found go launcher the best. Try it again, it may be hard to get into it for the first time. Same thing happened to me but once you get the hold of it you'll never go back and even I felt it slowed down my device but that was not the case. Don't know what exactly you are looking for but I use astro and it works :|

Obaid, use Go Launcher, its the best launcher for gingerbread IMO. Only issue is that it lags when you set a live wallpaper. Regarding 3G mode call drops and voice vanishing, many Note users have reported the same IIRC or was it S2 users? . I am not sure about any solution, maybe flashing new modem fixed this issue. Edit: Found out that the call dropping issue and voice vanishing issue is caused in Galaxy Nexus. Didn't find anything about Note. DinJo
Illustration of Android's fragmentation Worst definition of fragmentation i would rather say its has larger hardware base and more portable apps. The article on gizmodo was kind a sh*t

AtheK
GO launcher on ICS is a waste...Use Apex, i personally use it and is very very smooth. I like Nova too and have them both installed, but i keep going back to Apex. Also the secondary launcher for me has always been TW, i really like it, contrary to many people hating it.
