So I'm on Criskelo's LPY ROM, how to go to the Paranoid Android ROM. In the thread it is recommended to go to a stock GB ROM and then the PA ROM. Any suggestions? And if they don't get sold, they are returned back. Think of it this way: You go to a wholesale shop & say you want 100 items of a device, with the conditional clause that you'll return anything that isn't sold. So have you *actually* sold 100 units? Is it right to announce you have sold 100 units? No. Is it right to announce you have received an order for 100 units? Yes. Samsung's got an order for 9 million units, but they haven't sold any. Don't FullWipe!!! - Flash ROM - reboot system -...you are done An extra step would be to flash the modified GAPPS. How is the performance of the ROM in tablet mode? And general experience using regular apps (any DPI issues in default setting?) ? In any case, I am actually looking to move out of the leaked kernel LPY to a source built like CM9 safely, and then won't go back to any stock kernel unless it is 100% safe. And regular AOSP ROMs get rather boring (I went through 10 ROMs in a week on my Nexus S, hence totally bored with vanilla AOSP). Death Stryke Posted May 21, 2012 Report Share Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) Agree with many points in that video. iOS needs quick toggles for 3G/Wifi/BT and better Maps services and a way to have inter app communication. Also I want a feature by which i can select default apps for email, calendar etc. Sparrow released a brilliant gmail only client for iOS but i cant select it as default. Some of the issues he highighted at BS though and clearly clouds IOS5. He does not even know how to use text replace in iOS when selecting text. Or text expansion which is all built into iOS5. Heck, when i see his video i can see while scrolling and browsing how randomly it gets choppy on android. For me, the iOS browser is just amazingly good. Renders webpages best and at the right size and zoom in and out and the page still retains its integrity. He even agrees to this fact in his tablets comparison video. Anyway, i think we will see many improvements in iOS6 ..some new stuff and some much needed improvements too. And regarding opening eyes, there are many reasons why people still buy Apple. Best support after sales. Guaranteed updates for 2-3 years. I dont get it why people dont realize why people buy iPhones even if they know it may lag in some areas. While it leads in others.
