GPRS & GPS will suck a lot more battery power. But I think If I don't do anything.. Just message, Phone call.. It lasts for 48 hrs.

If I use Wii-Fi, and browse continuously, it will go to 15-18 hrs.

10 hrs. for the Red Light to Glow when I use GPS/GPRS/3G/Video Conference.

HTC Desire HD here.

No way, I don't have GPRS plan, neither I use GPS. Just Wi-Fi all the time (always on), lots of messages and some phone calls and it hardly last 15-16 hours. 9 or 10am discharge, battery dies about at about 11pm. Have to admit battery sux in almost every android phone. Fortunately, its not a problem for me as I can charge whenever I want.

A comment on the youtube video of the same:

"I for one don't give a f**k if a college student recommends me a phone. I question his knowledge of photography using a phone to take photos, his college tutor would slap him sideways. Lenses motherf**ker, do you use one?"

How man? How do I set those tiles on my homescreen?

You will need 'Desktop Visualizer' from the market and the tiles itself. Those tiles are basically Widgets.

Why? Just why? Wouldn't it be better if they actually did this for Windows phone, considering it is lacking so much behind in sales?

It should be mainly because Android uses JavaScript -- easy to understand and common.

If you can tolerate the TouchWiz nonsense of Samsung, then S2. I am assuming that you'll be buying this in india? Then warranty is a plus.

Nexus for the quickest android updates, and ICS vanilla goodness...

custom roms are surplus for both. If you do a lot of custom romming, then warranty is a must. If you brick your nexus you can't get it replaced anywhere.

Ask piper who got his Note replaced.

Looking for some advice from the Android gurus here:

The same old dilemma: GS2 or Nexus?

Is warranty really important?

Any suggestions regarding this is highly appreciated.

Buying in India? S2

Buying outside India where warranty is available for both? Nexus..

Anyhoo, can anyone please lemme know what the S2 is going for these days? I'm asking on behalf of a friend. And with all the G fiasco, should my friend even consider the S2 or go with the Nexus instead?

Anyone?

EDIT: Also, what's the best phone for around 15K?

Samsung Working on EMMC Solution: Fix Soon

We've contacted Samsung about the problem where performing a mmc erase could hardbrick your phone (i9100, i9100g, n7000, m250 - MAG4FA, VYL00M, and KYL00M with firmware revision 0x19 // T989 and I727 with fw rev 0x12) if it's having a faulty emmc chip.

They're working as hard as possible on a clean solution which will be ready soon.

Please be patient and try to not flash any leaked kernels or kernels based on sources where MMC_CAP_ERASE is present.
