TRMNTR
I mean when I go into root explorer: /mnt/sdcard shows the contents of my ext_sdcard /mnt/emmc shows teh contents of internal sdcard this used to be the other way around in Asylum ICS I know -- that's how it is by default on PA/CM9. You can swap the positions for the internal and external storage using the instructions I gave you. Best wallpaper site on teh internet. http://wallbase.cc/home Agreed. There's an app for Wallbase on the Play Store. Edited June 17, 2012 by iHoneyBadger
Kakarot
^^ OK cool will try it later...btw Dr Awesome needs some help..he flashed the Stock ICS before reading the posts here and needs to know what he should do now...I told him iHoneyBadger is the guy to goto I think using PC ODIN to go to some GB ROM will be safe...and I've already told not to do a fac reset or sd card wipe.<br class="Apple-interchange-newline">
TRMNTR
As long as he doesn't do a factory reset, everything should be fine. And yep, he can safely go back to GB using PC Odin -- once he is on GB, factory resets aren't a problem. CM9 Kernels (and the ones based on it) are safe. In fact both SpeedMod and Franco Kernels now come with the eMMC bug removed so even they are (mostly) safe. However, in order to switch between stock and AOSP, one should ALWAYS go back to GB first. I make it a point to NEVER do a factory reset unless I'm on a CM9/CM9-based Kernel.
Kakarot
^^ Yup told him all that..btw I jsut found out if you're having any trouble with the lockscreen not responding and freezing up then just set up a pin...removed all the freezes and unresponsiveness! Another I love PA is that it doesnot have the Asylum bug where if I get a notification while listening to music the music volume becomes mute after the notification tone is done. All in all Loving the ROM till now PS: I couldn't get the sdcard and ext sdcard to swap...am I missing something here? I just have the option : use internal sd card to store applications...after ticking still sdcard in root explorer refers to ext sdcard only
TRMNTR
I don't have the LS bug. I'm on Thor v0.12 Kernel and everything runs great here! In PA/CM9, intially, the Internal SD is mounted as /emmc and External SD is mounted as /sdcard. So, all the app data is stored on the External SD. Go to Settings > Storage > (Menu Button) > Storage Configuration > (Tick) Use Internal Storage. It should be unticked initially. Once you tick the option, reboot the phone. Now, your Internal SD is mounted as /sdcard while the External SD is mounted as /emmc. It usually takes some time for media scanner to complete -- after which, all the folders should be at the right place.
Right
How are you guys jumping roms so easily? I'm finding it tedious to go back to stock GB before flashing one, since CWM restore/backups arent supposed to be used.
TRMNTR
^^ Titanium Backup for backup + PC Odin. 1. PC Odin to go back to GB (5 mins) 2. Reboot into Recovery > Factory Reset (1 min) 3. Reboot Phone > Root It (10 mins) 4. Reboot into Recovery > Factory Reset + Format System/Data/Cache (1 min) 5. Flash Custom ICS (5 mins) Restoring apps using TB and Google A/C Sync takes place in the background so it isn't much of a problem. The process if somewhat tedious if you're not used to doing it, yes. However, being the flashaholic I am, I do this almost everyday -- sometimes even twice a day. :/ I have however made my peace with PA -- for now -- and don't plan to go back and forth. Big Boss
Well now that I am using Dual Boot, any known problems? I am guessing MIUI OTA upgrade might f**k it up?
piper
Those flashing GB over an existing brick-bug kernel via PC Odin, should take the extra precaution of flashing a non-wipe GB ROM. Because some GB ROMs will first wipe data (using the brick-bug kernel that is present on the phone) and then flash the GB ROM.

piper
Max Payne on my HOX with the DualShock3 using the Sixaxis Controller app is a thing of beauty. Just enable native gamepad emulation in Sixaxis Controller and you are good to go. Everything just works (although I am yet to figure out how to change weapons and zoom in when using the sniper rifle). Also, I;ve turned up the resolution and detail level to the maximum in the game's settings and it runs smooth as silk. Also looks pretty decent (if quite jaggy) on my TV running at 1080p through the MHL HDMI cable. MT, is MAC address overwrite involved? If yes, then afterwards can DS3 be used with PS3 again without any issues?
MarketTantrik
MT, is MAC address overwrite involved? If yes, then afterwards can DS3 be used with PS3 again without any issues? Yes it does but its no problem at all. Just connect the DS3 to your PS3 with the cable and it resets to the PS3. Edit: This arrived today. I'll try it out later and let you chaps know how it goes. lithuvien
Anyone here who has used both the HTC One X and the galaxy S3? I have been reading on the net for a few days and here is what I can summarize: Design and UI - personal choice Battery life - S3 is ahead, plus its battery is removable Build - Both are polycarbonate, HOX just has a matte finish Storage - no additional storage on HOX, giving S3 the point here Audio - This was strange. I have sites claiming that the Audio quality on the S3 is actually better than the HTC One X. Video - S3 supports almost everything, HTC supports only MP4 Anyone has anything to contradict / add on these points based on personal experience? Kakarot
Flashed my DHD with leedroid, and now I get a "cannot establish reliable data connection to the server" whenever I try to add my google account. WTF without it I cant even access the play store. Help?! I bet you're doing it over the WiFi...use your cellphone's data connectivity to connect ...you won't be able to setup your GMAIL on wifi sometimes after flashing a ROM (common bug we gotta thank google for) Anyway if you don't have a cellphone data conection there's a workaround for it: Goto youtube>add account>add your Gmail account. goto settings > Accoutns and sync and voila! your Gmail account is ready to be synced. PS: You haven't left me feedback yet for the games i sold you Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
