Yeah, will need to check it out. I'm still on stock everything right now. Dont even use a launcher, but i did install CWM just in case :P

The radios are all Stock Glen. Just that you have radios for different regions that might suit your phone and region better if you flash them.

So,

I and my bro had planned a surprise gadget for my mom and dad. We initially considered a lappy, but my mom struggles with PCs, she finds it hard to boot up and shut down :P So we presented them this instead. It's slick n sexy :D

Where did you buy it from? Damages? :P

Radios/Modems have nothing to do with WiFi. All the main code for WiFi is in the kernel.

I actually knew that since there's a discussion thread about it on XDA. I don't know why I went ahead and suggested it anyways. :/

Anyhoo, its placebo but some people claim it helps.

Make sure to connect to the 2.5Ghz band. Also, phones usually have a much weaker WiFi antenna compared to tablets and laptops.

My GNexus gives me 2 bars, when the Nexus 7 gives 3/4, and my laptop has 95% strength to the 2.4Ghz, and 75% strength for the 5Ghz band, in the same spot.

Hi Guys

I'm facing a weird problem on my S3 after updating to the latest firmware.

I'm on stock everything and rooted.

When someone tries to call me, they get a msg that My phone is switched off. I don't even get any msg.

But my phone is actually on, and I can see the bars too. Usually i get around 2-4 bar all the time.

And no, I'm not in airplane mode.

Then if I restart my cell, it's all fine for few hours. Then again after few hours, if someone tries to call me, they get the same message,

All these time, I can see 2-4 bars and never go to airplane mode.

What could be the issue? Is it a phone issue or network issue?

My desire HD keeps dropping wi-fi when its on sleep mode, any app/ mod I can flash to fix this?

Maybe you have the option in settings set to drop it everytime the screen is off goto wireless networks >wifi>advanced> make sure that the "keep wifi on during sleep" is on always :)

Since you're on stock, you can only try 2 things:

1) Flash a different Radio. (For Sammy, radios beginning with DD are for India, though technically any radio should work. I'm using an XX radio (GNote), which is for EU).

2) Download and reflash the latest Indian ROM from either Samfirmware or XDA. Use Odin for it (no flash counters or yellow triangle for flashing stock ROMs).
