Death Stryke
Used a Galaxy note 2 running jelly bean. Someone bought the white one this dussehra holiday. Think this is the best Android phone on offer today. If you are going high end, then close your eyes and get this. Looks good, a monster performer, and size isn't bad if you are used to sgs3 type screens. Fantastic stuff. And the touchwiz isn't bad either. I don't need the stylus but the stylus did work quite well. I just didn't like the light brown colors used for their S apps.Having used a Gnex the different buttons took 2 mins to get used to but that's it. If you are going 4.8 inch and above might as well get this phone. sgs3 pointless i think Edited October 25, 2012 by Death Stryke
MarketTantrik
^^ +1. Or hold out for the HTC J Butterfly variant.
Death Stryke
I dunno, if I wanted a 1080p screen phone I would wait for the note 3 which at this point will surely get it. I maybe wrong but in android today I would only stick to Samsung.

Death Stryke
That is true. Still wonder how the battery life/heat produced will be running that display. I feel Samsung does the hardware better than HTC. HTC phones somehow lots of issues with battery heat wifi etc. At least from what I read. Solitaire
Dear God. How wrong was I. Touchwiz is still a huge piece of crap. Just read that Android police review. Nova launcher zindabaad Touchpiss..... And yes, Nova Launcher. Simply amazing. Had occasional redraw issues but then I turned it into a System app using Titanium Backup and it's been A-OK since. Death Stryke
Seriously that camera menu :-/.... Just sad they ruin such a fantastic piece of kit and actual underlying software like this. Anyway, I didn't use. Stuck to stock. Honestly didn't find anything wrong with it. Hence didn't bother. Only issue with stock rom on Gnex is the terrible speakerphone volume. U can't hear anything! dante77
Cheap-feeling, glossy, slippery plastic. I feel like a broken record here, but this is particularly damaging (literally) for the Note II. It is big enough that your grip isn't as encompassing as it is on a smaller phone, so you are much more likely to drop it. The back is about as slick to the touch as the screen is, which isn't good. Something grippier is really needed for devices this large.
AtheK
HTC j butterfly is the way to go today, why will I invest in 720p screen and feel bad after a month.
Death Stryke
I wonder if they can do such huge volumes. Samsung I am sure won't do it unless they can produce millions of such displays each month. Yield may not be that high today. Probably why HTC launched in a smaller market first. Did they announce when this might arrive in EU/NA?

TRMNTR
HTC DLX sounds gay! Sounds like a name for a Mahindra. :| Weird name aside, I just hope the processor can handle the resolution. I hate the stutter! Looking forward to the device though -- revolutionary, I'd say.

Aren't Japanese phones using some weird CDMA of some sort? Looks to me HTC is launching is slowly aka yield issues. Note 3 y'all. October 2013. Wait for it. Lena hain wohi loh. Till then, it should ideally be perfected, the display, along with everything else needed to power it. Death Stryke
^I am the strongest proponent of good build quality, but honestly the Note 2 doesn't feel that bad, yes because of the kind of material it uses, it feels slippery and with the phone being big, could slip easily. but its okay, not bad. What I dont like is this BS Samsung does. Seriously, Saw this in Croma some days back. Who the fack decides that this should be a font on the system. And default (apparently)
TRMNTR
I played with the Note 2 just 2 days back and it actually feels pretty good in the hand. Not plasticky like the Note 1. Much much better. And the stylus is such a big improvement. Having said that, I'm in love with HTC's new designs! So, I wanna go for an HTC this time around -- Deluxe! Somebody might have changed it. PS - I hated this font on my Note!
