Sackboy
Hardly seems worth it to make a fuss over a 2$ IAP. His stated reason for doing this is that he has to make the touch part of the recovery for every device model individually, so he puts the IAP for each of them. I don't know... he's a pretty cool dev but this is just kind of shady. TWRP has touch functionality too and that's completely free, so yea... Not to mention TWRP is much better. Solitaire
In general I keep away from Touch recoveries cos when I want to actually do something at the recovery and bootloader level I wanna be bloody sure that I really wanna do it. I'd rather use the buttons to confirm it rather than make a silly mistake. But that's just me being paranoid.

I'd rather use the buttons to confirm it rather than make a silly mistake. But that's just me being paranoid. I actually feel more worried that I'll do something wrong with the buttons, what with all the volume and power pressing and stuff which were not meant to be used as navigation buttons.. But maybe that's just me.. I'm old :/

But maybe that's just me.. I'm old :/ Haha, I actually touched it thinking it hadn't finished loading and kinda tapped on it a few more times than I should once. So thought, "what if...." and didn't use touch stuff again.
Solitaire
Got these in the mail today:Slap on the official bumper from Google, a new Titanium-finish back from DBrand Inc. and my Nexus 4 got a makeover: Looks even better in person and it goes very well with the bumper. The Nexus logo shines through in silver. Edited February 5, 2013 by Gaurav - Solitaire
Bird Bird Bird
Don't say that here. Bird Bird Bird will will will f**k f**k f**k you you you up up up. The f**k ? Not to mention TWRP is much better. Is it ? I haven't used any apart from CWM. Any major differences to switch from one to the other ? @Spinny: Congo ! And yeah, paying again for something you already bought (even if it was to show support) is really pushing it. In other news, played with ZipInstaller. You can mark ZIPs to be installed en masse via CWM automatically, Works flawlessly.
spindoctor
Not to mention TWRP is much better. I've never actually used TWRP. Just too used to CWM I guess. I'm assuming they're more or less the same anyway so is there any particular reason to switch? Does TWRP come with it's own manager app like Rom Manager? I haven't paid, else I'd gladly do the needful. I suggest once more that you do it. When I found out that the IAP was per device, I went to the site and flashed it for free anyway so meh. Sackboy
TWRP has an amazing interface, can be themed TWRP is also much safer and has sooo many features which CWM lacks. File Manager, Multiple zips flash queue, back up naming and partitions choosing (You can back up only data no need to do systema), back up location chooser (internal and external), ADB sidelaod support etc. Almost everyone prefers TWRP over CWM wherever it is officially supported. sameuun
Sony Xperia Z Pre-order Accompanied By Expensive Headphones I don’t know about you, but in my books, Sony Mobile has certainly improved by leaps and bounds when it comes to the kind of smartphones released in terms of form and function, but somehow, their smartphone models have failed to sell like gangbusters. Hopefully things will change with the tougher Sony Xperia Z, where it is now up for pre-order over at the UK before its official launch at the end of this month. Folks who have decided to throw their lot behind the Xperia Z will be pleased to know that it comes with a pair of Sony MDR-1R Prestige headphones that is valued at £299 a pop – not too shabby, no? Basically, you will be able to qualify for this pair of headphones if you order the purple Xperia Z via O2 or the standard black and white units via Three, but O2 claims that they will only carry limited quantities, while Three has limited the free headphones giveaway to just the first 1,000 pre-orders. Having said that, if you happen to live across the pond, would you take this opportunity to pick up the Sony Xperia Z?

Sackboy
Hmmm. K. Any special precautions while flashing i.e. specific kernel/ROM issues ? Works for TW kernels are well or only CM ? I have no idea what you said bro.. In any case, always check compatibility of kernel with the rom, different frameworks use different kernels. Also flash ROM and then kernel as most roms include kernels nowadays. Also wipe cache/Dalvik AFTER flashing, it resets permissions, its mostly advisable but not necessary.
