You'll probably have someone drop by and replace the One X for you... (recalling the scratch on screen incident... ).

Sackboy
You really think the Z is worth the upgrade over One X? The real upgrade is all looks and eye candy, personally I would wait for Key Lime Pie and get the nexus that comes with it if I were you. For me it has always been looks with Fab Hardware, and i always believe to sell my phones before the warranty ends as i get a good resale price for them. Other reason to get Z is the Full HD Screen. Never been a fan of Nexus series, initially because it was Samsung and build quality issues now it is too hard to get them plus the low memory to boot. OneX already has 4.2.2 available, so not much of a hassle, and so would the next phone have it. Looks and feel is the Prior driving force for me to by a phone, the only jewellery a man can flaunt Edited February 26, 2013 by AtheK
AtheK
Anyways once it releases on a nexus device it gets ported to every tom dick and Harry device. So what's the big difference? Ya except being very attractively priced not much of an advantage of having a Nexus device. The S/W update is a novelty of a week or so, i can live with it, anyway if you have a rooted phone you can have it in few days. The choice on top of having the manufacturer is not too good, LG is not exactly the company who makes amazing smart phones.

Plus, a lot of issues (like the infamous media server) persist for a long time. Edited February 26, 2013 by iHoneyBadger

Galaxy S runs JB without a hitch. Minor issues would be there. You might not get the next version in two weeks, but all the new features are usually ported very quickly. I do not have a problem to live with small bits of those. A phone whose back shatters while just sitting on the desk is not a perfect phone too. To each his own. My point is that the next nexus will be announced with KLP not that it will have KLP
Big Boss
Xperia Z is first high end waterproof phone. I have a two wheeler, and I always have to worry about my phone when it rains. Xperia Z will remove that worry and I will still have a high end good looking phone (not like Xperia Active or Defy Plus) It is bound to have great dev support on XDA, so updates not an issue. Sure, few features will be bugged/wont work, but there wont be anything major. But still confused. Might save that money for PS4
Kazekage Gaara
The only thing that bothers me with the Z is its below par screen and really low contrast ratio. I mean have you guys seen the benchmarks (contrast ratio)? It's lower than a Galaxy S2. For shame Sony. Also, read up on this thread.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108274 If you're really interested in buying it, I would suggest you have a hands-on session with the device and see for yourself if you're really happy with it Just a piece of advice - my 2 cents Edit: Also read up here.... http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z-review-887p3.php However, the screen is by no means perfect. First of all its viewing angles aren't really great. They are a step forward compared to the Xperia T, but a very minor one. In that area Sony still has a lot of work before it catches up with the competition. More disturbingly, the display has rather poor contrast for a flagship unit and not really inspiring colors. As testified by the measurements in our dedicated test it comes nowhere near the standard of its main competitors and it even fared worse than its predecessor. The screen indeed was a slight disappointment. Nothing to do with the size or the resolution - there's just not enough punch in it. Less than stellar contrast simply doesn't do it justice. AtheK
Ya the contrast is a concern for me too, want to see it in real life. Viewing angles not too much of a concern for me atleast. I have been reading user reviews on xda and almost all users have been very happy, but a hands on is imp. Fact that i am coming from LCD2 screen will make it easy for me, but for one coming from SAMOLED display it can be a concern. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155145 Edited February 26, 2013 by AtheK

I have a Note and S2 which to date don't run Project Butter properly thanks to closed sources. That's almost a year now. Same goes for a lot of other devices. Please don't confuse a working version with a properly working version. I am in no way trying to say that other devices are bad or anything (I still love my Note) unlike your comment about the spontaneous shattering back. Haha! I get that your comments about plastic backs and what not make you feel good about your own purchase but maybe you could refrain from commenting negatively sometimes. AtheK
Well it did make a round of Internet, was just speaking about what i read. Obviously nexus 4 is a great device, all I am saying is that it is not the best out there and is a bit hyped. LG has done a great job, and it absolutely blows out all the phone in competition at that price point. Then again makes no addition to already owned onex by me. TRMNTR
No device can be perfect -- especially now when phones get "outdated" in a quarter. Edit - That back shattering thing is just a bunch of stupid lies. However, the phone does try to commit suicide once in a while by sliding of an inclined surface. That's the cause for most of the spontaneous shattering incidents. Edited February 26, 2013 by iHoneyBadger
AtheK
http://www.erodov.com/forums/lg-nexus-4-experiencing-cracking-problems-due-glass-backing/60420.html This was the thread I read about it, and you do one google search you will see so many issues of the glass cracking for no apparent reason, maybe was a defect with initial units. TRMNTR
^^ Edited my post. It's extremely hard to believe that glass can crack that easily. Even crappy glass stuff doesn't easily crack leave alone shatter spontaneously.
