sixthsense
Try the lightning browser posted on play store by a xda Dev . amazingly fast and chrome would appear sluggish after you start using it.
AtheK
i hope it is not a battery hogger, after Screen anything that eats up battery it is Chrome.
sixthsense
i hope it is not a battery hogger, after Screen anything that eats up battery it is Chrome. Nope it's opposite of that. The Dev has taken the Google framework, removed all flashy things and took out all options and then compiled it. It's like a barebone chrome and that's why faster. Sackboy
Â Try the lightning browser posted on play store by a xda Dev . amazingly fast and chrome would appear sluggish after you start using it. Not really, if you have a fast phone, both give similar performance

The Wolfy among us
S3 is a gen old phone now, obviously it will be cheaper and no it is not a good deal then this, Slower processor, less Ram, Bad build Quality and Lesser screen. Waterproof is just a nice feature to have for people who drive a lot on bike. Of course S4 will be the best phone in performance, Xperia Z is not even on Krait 600. But samsung build quality and premium feel is a question mark, if they keep the same design as S3, well i am not buying it, but obviously it will sell huge numbers. Â Your statement of build quality is absurd Athek. You have brainwashed yourself to believe that anything plastic will not have a good build. Untrue. The S3 is a very robustly built phone. Phones like the phone are "built" excellently, with glass and metal, brush aluminium, and what not. But what do people do? buy a screen guard, a back protector, a front protector, a condom etc. Which makes the phone bulky, and it finally loses the eye catching looks for which you had bought it in the first place. Â Also, slower processor, less rom, etc are also overhyped statements. It's not like we are comparing the Xperia z, or the HTC One with the Galaxy Dous or some other shitty phone. The S3 is still an extremely high end phone. Nothing on Android has yet to make the S3 hang, or freeze up. The quad core takes care of everything thrown at it, including graphics intensive games. Â Well it's is a generation older I agree, but still the S3 is a top notch phone, and will still stand strong atleast a year down the line.
AtheK
Of course it is a good phone, it is not selling millions just like that, if you think it is a well built plastic phone, you are right to think so, I agree to disagree. As a matter of fact I know people who sold s3 within a very short time as well, so did people sell one x. It is a personal preference and not a reference. Samsung doesn't use plastic to save 300 bucks on a 40k phone. There's millions of dollars of industrial engineering research and design behind that decision. The S3 didn't become the most popular Android phone in the world by accident. It's a top of the line phone even now (in an industry where new products release every 3 months). And it will remain so until the S4. It's a damn good deal at it's price of 28 currently compared to 40+ for the Xperia. And if one really can drop 40+, it would probably be better spent on the S4. kanbad
I dont understand whats not good in the build quality of S3... I think its quite fantastic.... the finish and build on are at par with any high end phone ... and I think the flip cover even looks more beautiful... I personally rate it higher than iphone 5 or HTC one x..and one can get it for 27 k - 28 k range which to be honest is a very good deal... sixthsense
Innovation and research in plastic body ? Yeah maybe reducing the weight is one of the benefits otherwise the plastic is cheaper than the Chinese phones available in 8-10k . The camera is the same 8 mp which is in all their galaxy series and in my opinion performs worse than the captivate I had before. The sd card reader slot will only accept a few sd cards or will render your card useless if it doesn't like it. The camera housing has a movable part (sensor)inside so when u shake the phone you can hear the cluttering sound, also audible when it vibrates. The screen has ink marks and blue tint , and i've checked many and they all have same. The sudden death issue tells us about the research and r&d put in by Samsung. And lastly the touch wiz ui lags like anything. Â The above I don't expect from a top of the line 30k phone. There is no value it provides considering the price. Ram Dante
The galaxies have poor build quality or a better term "poor design", flexible/flimsy plastic on the rear on most phones. They feel cheap. And the phone doesn't quite fell like a premium product because of its weight distribution. Just my 2cents. AtheK
Samsung is testing there premium customers for too long, I see the Nokia of early days in them.
AtheK
ok lets see...  From GSMarena  Main disadvantages  All-plastic body of dubious aesthetics No dedicated camera key microSIM slot S Voice is hardly as functional as ads might make you believe Tech Radar AGAINSTSubjective design S Voice not optimised PC Pro VerdictA superb screen and camera, plus a host of software extras means it’s a gold star for Samsung once again, notwithstanding the less-than-stellar design Just a few, No one is questioning there hardware, and it's performance, but defending it's build quality is pushing it too much, well to each his own
Sackboy
It might not be as good as the other phones but it at no rate feels flimsy and cheap, for that matter I had both the S3 and One X for a week and had to choose one and give the other to my cousin. After using the S3 for a week, I can say that the One X is not at all better.
