piper
well is there any other way to install the samsung official jelly bean update for s2 ? I'm sure you can just flash the official ROM via Odin without voiding your warranty. But be careful if you are on official ICS atm.

Won't it increase the binary counter though? Samsung use it know if Odin has been used to flash, might void warranty. Anyway if the counter does go up you can use triangleaway to reset it. I'm on official ICS (4.0.4) for now....there's no OTA update in korea as well Have to depend on that stupid kies, which says 'unsupported device' .... wtf I see JB for only Europe and Russia right now.. no Korea for sure.. hmmm ok, one of my colleagues here said he installed jb....ok, will wait in that case ! Anyways you can always use triangle away to reset counter. No issues.

Ne0
Google chrome on ICS is highly unstable on SII, crashes all the time, especially when used in combination with swype ! I still continue to use it , mainly coz of the bookmarks sync feature of chrome ! Edited March 4, 2013 by Ne0

I still continue to use it , mainly coz of the bookmarks sync feature of chrome ! Get the JB from the links I gave above. These are official samsumg roms which can be flashed via odin. You can always revert to indian rom for warranty later on. JB would be worth it.

Chaztin
Not sure if this is a repost but just saw this: Source: http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/samsung-galaxy-s-iv-benchmark-specs-leaked-confirm-exynos-5-octa-processor-337944 Edited March 4, 2013 by Chaztin
Chaztin
I am supposed to purchase Nexus 4 tomorrow from a local fellow, but I just read that Xperia Z is launching the day after, is the latter one worth the money? Just sold my iPhone 5 and need to fill the smartphone gap as soon as possible.
AtheK
Well it is a burning topic here Depends what you are looking for in the phone...and Xperia Z price is still not confirmed, will be confirmed on 6th Mar. I would say wait and decide.
pinkmonster
It is still early days but def looks like a good phone also it is sold out everywhere, your friend will struggle to find it. Seeing the stuff your friend wants to do you can look at Sony/HTC/Samsung Dual core offerings, you should get some good phones for around 16k Is the phone rooted, seeing your sis owns it, i am pretty confident it won't be. what is the Difference in timing of charge now. Just buy it, you are good for 2 yrs. No, the phone isnt rooted or anything. Im pretty sure my cousin can wait for sometime. Lets see. I'll let him know about this. This is surprising as charge times have little to do with the OS, does she use a USB charger to charge? Charging is done by the default charger given. Its a USB cable that can be connected to the plugpoint and then charged. Sis says if the phone is below 20%, it takes longer to charge, like around 5-6 hours but if its at say, 40% or more, then it takes less time to charge.
