it cannot be better than AMOLED, they shut off the LED to make it black, Nothing can be better than that.

How does switching off an LED make a technology "better" ? AMOLED can give you great contrast but generally the colours appear over-saturated as a result.

Come on man, it is sad when educated people speak like noobs :P .

^By better he meant having better black. Not technology better. Oversaturated or not, black looks best on AMOLED, it is a fact. Anyone who believes otherwise is delusional.

No dude, you have to see the Z's screen to believe it. It's not like i've never had a super amoled remember?

^^ It's not different.. it's a special place where idiots make accounts to show that they have free money to dole around for idiotic twitter clones and somehow fool themselves into believing that now they will get better folks to interact with.

That screenshot reminds me, can't you take a screenshot without the touch screen button bar being there, sure you can manually crop it but still, i never quite understood the usefulness of the screen keys, if the screen is damaged then you wont see the bottom bar & having physical bottoms is better IMO

LED screens produces light which are black to show black.

AMOLED screens turn off those pixels totally. No lights come out of it. It is the truest black the screen the screen can have.

While IPS display will have more "natural" color and better whites usually, AMOLED screen's blacks are unbeatable .

That's the reason having a dark or no wallpaper on Samsung devices will increase the battery life, since those pixels won't be consuming power.

Beeches, I know about the AMOLED wins in the blackest of blacks competition. My intended victim didn't specify he was talking about blacks, he just said AMOLED is better as a generalisation.

Damn, I thought I had a clear shot... Avkash, will get back at you some other time...

Amazing price...In two months it should be down to 38k, a steal .
Any idea if HTC One unlocked bootloader would be available in India?

In other news, one more reason to go for Samsung devices:

That's harsh man. In theory app.net is better than Twitter because they rely on subscriptions for their service and will not start doing the sh*t that Twitter does to generate money (promoted ad tweets, f**king with 3rd party app devs and who knows what next). Paying for a service to avoid ads doesn't make a person an idiot.

They're only problem (and it's an insurmountable one IMO) is that Twitter now has a critical mass in terms of sheer numbers of users that cannot be challenged. It has become ubiquitous in popular culture, just like Facebook.

This is standard operating procedure for HTC. Can't wait till they pull off this sh*t with the Butterfly and then the new One. Forced obsolescence in a year.

My only point is paid does not mean better which they seem to portray ever since they came out.. They also seem to say that only non-spammy ppl will join app.net and hence it will inductively be better place somehow.. well, guess what, spammers will target any place whether it is free or paid..They are going the wrong way about it. Right now they don't give anything that twitter doesn't (in fact much less) and that too at a price and still are being smug about it..

Places like twitter and facebook are what they are because they are free and thus have the widest reach.. If someone wanted to have a closed environment, they would have gone the yammer way already..
