AtheK
Hello. Can anyone compare Nexus 4 with Htc one?I mean the shortcomings of Nexus....... HTC One Much better build, Oomph factor and drool worthy. Ram wise both are same, but One has a faster processor. I personally am a fan of sense not many agree. Camera would take better low light pictures and should even do better then nexus camera in daylight except the MP race. The gorgeous Full HD resolution. Where Nexus shines is better support from google and almost immediate updates, and ofcourse it is cheaper. But other then that ONE is pretty much a superior phone over Nexus 4 in every other deparmtent.
AtheK
And guys what's the best deal for the HTC one on the internet right now? Not much offers and tough to get hold of the phone, pretty much sold out everywhere, but the best deal right now is at mobile store who are giving 5% cash back on citi bank cards. 'AL'
Quite true And if the sammy people had incorporated a 720p screen in the S4 mini.. it would have been a very very good option. Hence i asked about the qHD (Combined with super amoled) Vs SA plus comparison. (Cudnt find direct comparison between these two via google, If somebody can.. pls provide links) Moreover, i wont be going in for the phone like instantly. I presume an interesting situation when S4 mini comes up. S3 i think can be had for 27kish, And with even the Nexus4 staring at you for 25k price point, people wont be too eager to pick the S4 mini instantly. A price cut should most def come up. So if the display is gonna be decent, and price gets slashed to something really juicy.. Then it will become a really good choice. why don't you consider the Xperia S or SL. they pretty much have everything you need except maybe removable battery(i could be wrong). But everything else is on par with your requirements including a 720p resolution on a 4.3 inch display. Only the ram is 1 gb instead 1.5. So I went on and played with the HTC One for half an hour or so for two consecutive days, no work in office and a store nearby The phone is incredible, the screen, the build, the oomph factor. It is a class apart. It brings to Android what was never there, class. The software seemed incredible. It was super smooth, no lag what so ever. I did whatever I could to make it lag, jumped between random HD games and the camera at will, adding contacts and jumping to random games while actually typing the name, opening many apps, nothing seemed to have stopped it. I tried to take a couple of pics but could not make up my mind whether it was any better or worse than what I have seen in other phones. I was so tempted that I wanted to buy it then and there, it is an incredible phone, I was blown away. And did I mention the screen is gorgeous like GORGEOUS !!!!!! And then the usual happens, a lady walks in, wants to buy a new phone. The sales girl comes over and tells her that the new phones are HTC One and the S4. The S4 has 8 cores, HTC has only 4, S4 has 13 MP Camera and HTC has only 4, S4 has a bigger screen, you can wave like a moron towards the screen and the phone will pick the magic and then bla bla bla. The lady obviously bought you know what, S4. This is why it sells, people just walk in, money to spend, no idea what to buy. Salesmen stand with a spec sheet, bigger screen, more cores - buy this :|
Big Boss
And this is where it shows how much FAIL is HTC at marketing in India. Serves them right.
AtheK
It's not about HTC, it is about Salesman in the shops, it is easier for them to sell samsung and samsung has more margins. Not much can be done. Every one tries to sell what gives them more margins, Samsung has built a superior network, mind you it did not happen overnight, took years. HTC has gone through some really bad times, but they are getting back. One in spite of all the shortages has already managed to sell 5 million phones, nexus 4 on the other hand being cheaper and released 8 months back has only got to 4 million. One will hit the 10 million mark in it's lifecycle, Samsung already did it in 1 month. But good news for HTC in general. Also this time HTC had several launch events, all they need to do is get service centres increased and give better margins to dealers, would happen with time. BTW price of One increased by 25$ in US. avkash
err no, not their fault, salesmen do not know much themselves, they just read the specs, more cores, more inches, more megapixels = best for them Edit: Aman beat me to it Edited June 1, 2013 by avkash

Again S4 is not a bad phone by any sense of imagination, it does better numbers then ONE, only gripe against samsung is there Build quality, and if she can live with it why not. Also S4 is cheaper. So your preference is not her reference. That said what ever you wrote about One is true, i tried it too and the reason i am so tempted to buy it. iPhone seems to be getting out of favours for me quickly
avkash
yeah, unless Apple comes up with something incredible on 10th June in iOS7 - September is far and I need a new phone Edit: and my problem is not what others buy, the problem is that most of them do not know what to buy, the salesmen sell what gives them more profit, poor customers :| Edited June 1, 2013 by avkash

AtheK
well if you have used Sense all your life, you can try something new in the market. Though Sense 5 id totally diff from previous sense. Go to a showroom and play around with it and see if the new one rocks your boat or wait for Samsung S4 Active to be announced on 20th june, if you want to try touchwiz. i_rock098
Yup will go in a showroom to test it out, Buying a new phone is such a daunting task these days, miss those earlier days when all you had to do was choose a phone between Nokia,HTC,Samsung,Sony or Blackberry and walk out happly ever after.
