Keyofx
Its a pity its just a publishing deal. I wonder how it would have panned out if they had outright bought Bungie and put them to work on CoD. Keyo would have had a stroke. Shut up and show Activision some respect! They also use slave labor to make new Spiderman and Guitar Hero games!

jDaMn
RIP Bungie! I wonder how Bungie signed the deal esp after seeing everything between IW and Activision. The difference is that IW gave up rights to its IP, whereas the article says that Bungie retains its IP. CoD = 3500, Halo like game, multi platform = 5000?
Karooo
Activision can provide them a bigger budget, take care of all the advertising needs etc, MW became a monster franchise for a reason, who else is left? EA? Acti is no 1 for a reason. IW were greedy assholes, talking to EA when under contract with Activision, success went to their heads. Its a bit unfair all the Acti hate imo. i_m_possessed
stop over reacting ppl activision just have publishing rights to only one of the new IPs that bungie are developing , they have no creative control nothing!! if bungie decide they dont wanna make more than 1 game in that franchise Acti cannot even force them and besides Acti has the power to publish this new franchise fr only 10 yrs and then games after that in that franchise will be up for grabs for other publishers Under the terms of the agreement, Activision will have exclusive, worldwide rights to publish and distribute all future Bungie games based on the new intellectual property on multiple platforms and devices. Bungie remains an independent company and will continue to own their intellectual property. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed. WhiteWolf
LOL! No. MS has a bigger marketing budget than Activision, not to mention smarter marketing imo. Besides being a first party title gives you a bigger budget to play with. Not the usual 6-8% of total quantity manufactured. Ya MS is way bigger company than EA & Acti.... Acti...i itni aukaad nahi ki console bech sakey market mein ...

Ya, but they said "creative freedom" when they left MS, which means MS wanted them to make Halo forever. Acti can give them that freedom and a decent budget as well because Bungie is up there with the best developers.
