People expect totally new gameplay features with niche series like AC in its every sequel, still they fap over COD every year, the countless stupid mario games, the Halo rip offs, MGS games, Uncharted series, countless cover based and first person shooters and what not. I can go on with the list of milking of franchises. Atleast with each sequel they are adding some real good features. The city management and Assassin Squad along with nice MP alone makes AC B a 60 $ worth game. I dont even care of the story of any game. You want a good story, go read a book or watch a movie. Gaming is all about gameplay and the fun which you get from it. As long as they keep tweaking the AC game mechanics and adding new fun stuff to do, the game will keep on selling well.

The list of items and gameplay elements added to ACB over AC2 (which itself is massive upgrade over AC1) is probably longer than UC2 or MW2 or Gears 2. And then there's MP addition which is unlike anything in the market and extremely well done. If anything, ACR feels more like expansion pack.

I beg to differ about Mario here , each Mario game features new gameplay mechanics ( new power ups etc. ) and new levels which are brilliant the games level designs are so intutive and fun that it's worth playing for that itself , IMHO Mario >>>> any other game in same genre .

As far as uncharted goes , ND is not releasing it twice every year but once in two years and each game is a storytelling epic .

COD is sh*t , I agree .

BF also gives a proper graphical revamp with more vehicles/weapons etc. And actually feature new gameplay mechanics .

And if you spew sh*t about MGS series , there are people here who would actually ban you. :P

Compare UC 2 to UC 1, or even MGS 4 to MGS 3, then note the changes and compare them to the changes in AC B compared to AC 2. You will be surprised at the sheer amount of tweaks to the gameplay along with graphics. Along with the gameplay tweaks, the mission variety is seriously increased with Leonardo's machines, Borgia towers, templar missions, shop quests, lair missions, tomb missions, there is so much more that I dont even remember them. People who straightaway went and completed the story mode might find the game shallow, but the side missions I mentioned spice the game up. I am more than 90% sure that people bashing the game only completed the main story missions and are crying foul. I am in memory 7 now, I have completed 3 lairs IIRC, and 3-4 Leonardo's machines along with a plethora of other side missions. And I am not bored at all. I can imagine it can get boring and monotonous if you decide to complete story mode like you are forced to do, but if you decide to enjoy it, then its lot more fun.

For example, I keep on destroying Borgia towers, then repair all the shops, if I get bored, I switch to leonardo's machines, then I roam around repairing aqueducts and recruiting assassins. Then I assign them missions and track their progress. Then there is Virtual training. There is so much stuff you can do that you cannot even mention it. The new weapons like crossbow enable you to tackle missions differently. Then there are 100% sync challenges which add a fair amount of challenge to your already fun missions. Has anyone played the Brawl missions? The hand to hand combat is so improved, with Ezio having some killer moves. And people play this game like they are on gun point and bash it for being rushed and milked.

And snake you mention story? UC series stories are laughable, its the characters that make story good, and when you say characters, the AC series characters are not bad either.

Now about AC:R, I am sure there will be some brand new features that will further improve the series.

If cool if u critize it, if u have played every single game out there and have a valid issue. But saying it didnt add new gameplay elements, then u are wrong!

Im not hating on the game, nor am i saying it doesnt have new tweaks, additions etc etc. What im saying is that even if they dont have same number of changes as AC:B or whatever, the games u mentioned still has enough changes to make them different so that they dont feel like a copy-paste job.

MGS: Peace Walker has over 125 different mission, each one is different. it has base management, solider management, equipment building. Recruiting enemies to your cause, then sending them out to fight. So there you go, this is just one example or ur so called 'games with no new additions' .

I think the story in AC 1 was decent till it just went nuts with the games later on( not in a good MGS2 way) and turned into a mess. I prefer the UC story to the AC series, to each his own. I feel the characters are no where near that of MGS or UC (IMO) , i didnt feel a certain attachment that i feel with characters in UC or MGS.

Actually the bashing of AC:B is a bit unwarranted. The game offers quite a lot of new features. You need to actually play the side missions a lot more, you'll be amazed at how much of time you can burn without even playing the main missions.

truer words have never been more spoken.

just completed the game and im actually stunned by how blatantly ubishaft are ripping off ppl with this and the upcoming revelations. who the f**k actually buys this POS for 60$, there is hardly any progression in the story and the ending is the perfect icing on what is already turning out to be the most idiotic plot line of this gen.

Honestly did u like AC2?If no,there is no way u will like this game.

yeah, story doesn't really move forward apart from the ending. Although, I think it was a pretty decent game but yeah 60$ is just not justified. Also, it was quite short compared to AC2 and in that short time it relies heavily on building cities/shops, earning money and side missions. I had so much money but there was hardly anything good to buy ended up completing the game with fortune :|

Thats the biggest drawback dude!!!

You feel as if you are just doing the side missions & the main story is like non existent

I beg to differ here. The main goal of the game is to rid Rome of the Borgia. Every thing you do in Rome goes towards this one goal. Literally, every side mission you do is towards this one goal. I'm not sure but I don't think any there are any other games like that. Mostly when a game has side missions or side quests it feels something along the lines of "I know you have a world to save, but my cat is stuck in a tree and I want you to get it down"

ACB doesn't feel like that. So it's not just doing side missions. Like I said, everything you do contributes to that one major goal of getting rid of the Borgia and their oppression.

@Dante - The main story was short. I think 9 hrs? Not sure. But 100% completion took me 40 hrs in ACB, and around 30 hrs in AC2.

@Sackboy - Nobody said UC2 didn't have a story. Ambar said it has a laughable story. Learn to read

edit - grammar
