For you my friend, the world would really be an amazing place to be in right now (getting to play LBP 2 15 days earlier than anyone else).
sup bro?
It really is an amazing game. Will hopefully finish the story mode today and try out the creation tools. How long is the story mode?? I'm not a creative person so the SP and player levels is all I'm counting on.
HundredProofSam
The last boss fight took me an hour. A four stage boss battle where if you die in the last stage, you have to start all over (same as LBP1. You use up all your lives, you start over). Last couple of levels were brutal. Story mode was about 7-8 hours. But as with LBP1, the story mode is only the beginning. I can't wait to see the UG levels. MM have outdone themselves. There's so much variety to the levels and so many weapons and powerups thrown in. This is a proper sequel, and a brilliant one. What a game! And what a start to 2011! dante77
awesome One question - Is single player just a platformer or a mix of everything I mean racing, sports, shooting in 8 bit swing, flipping etc? Are these mini games seperate?
CarbonCore
I didn't even play LBP1 beyond first couple of hours, and frankly there was no need. This is one of those games where the longer you wait and the more copies it sells, the more stuff you get to play.

Are these mini games seperate? There is shooting (like Space Invaders), some racing, etc but its mostly a platformer, but there's a lot more variety to the level design and gameplay than there was in the first one. I have some idea and lame Flash prototypes of a zero gravity game I had in mind. May experiment a bit once I get the game. Quite a few reviews are out: http://www.littlebigland.com/littlebigplanet-2-review-score-round-up/ Review themes oscillate between, "if you loved the first you'll never let this one go... " and, "holy crap! that's limitless potential"; which is what I expected

CM Sunny
I'll be creating an IVG level, theme: pushy so many ideas
CarbonCore
floaty controls fixed in SP? Not in demo, its the same but little tighter. Also people can create levels where gravity and jump heights are variable.
Buzz
floaty controls fixed in SP? No, it's there since all the 2 million created levels are going to be compatible with this. So apparantly they can't make many changes.
Karooo
floaty controls fixed in SP? Little bit better, but controls are the major issue here as well. But yeah, what do you think Sam?
HundredProofSam
Thanks. I have some idea and lame Flash prototypes of a zero gravity game I had in mind. May experiment a bit once I get the game. There is a zero gravity level in the SP floaty controls fixed in SP? I don't think the floaty controls need to be "fixed". It's not a problem with the game, it's just how they've chosen to design it. It's the same as the first game. I didn't mind it then, and I don't mind it now. There is a way to manage the floatiness of the jumping. Simply regulate how hard you press the jump button. The jump button is very sensitive so you can vary the height and length of jumps quite effectively just as in the first game.

HundredProofSam
US review copies. ^ SCEE has better press kits. Unfortunately, Milestone doesn't give those to us anymore. This was the LBP1 press kit.
dante77
so, wheres the IVG review?
HundredProofSam
TAG will be doing it. We haven't got review copies yet. And I've only played the SP. No co-op, no MP, no level creator, so if I reviewed it on IVG just based on SP, that wouldn't be fair.
