SCEE: LittleBigPlanet 2 looks "stunning" in 3D

Sony Europe's senior director Mike Hocking has teased that LittleBigPlanet 2 looks “stunning” while running in 3D.

The game was conspicuously absent from the list of confirmed 3D titles during Sony’s presence at GamesCom last week.

However, speaking with the chaps at VideoGamer.com, Hocking revealed that while developer Media Molecule has yet to divulge its plans for the sequel in regards to 3D support, it is actively researching the feature.

"We've not announced anything on that yet," he said, when quizzed as to whether or not the platformer would support 3D. "We've done some R&D with the game and it looks stunning in 3D.”

"It looks toy-like. It looks like you can grab things in the game. The guys haven't announced what they are doing yet, but if they did it would be stunning in 3D."

LittleBigPlanet 2 is due out exclusively on PlayStation 3 on November 12.

Sony has put up 3d demo booths in some malls here.

Tried it yesterday and i was f**king blown away. 3d+HD is out of this world man. They showed some underwater sh*t , but it looked beautiful , and very very real.

I can only imagine how amazing killzone 3 , lbp and other such games would look.

It pricks me somewhere in my heart that i cant have one of those TVs :(

even here in one of the malls i saw this sony 3d demo ....but it was closed at that time. I am hearing same from lot of peoples that 3D that sony showed was out of this world ....exactly same words that you put it now....mareko 3D ka bohat dil hai par like aman and all said it does start hurting the eyes after 25-30 mins....whats the use than if i cant watch it after few minutes..that is why i prefer 3d without glasses. Something what nintendo 3DS is doing. :good:

How come a 2D game supports 3D

I think it should work....btw I was thinking how awesome cel shaded game will look if it ever come out with 3D support specially game like POP(2008),Okami....i really wish to see some cel shaded game on 3D if possible. :wOOtjumpy:

Gamescom 2010: LBP2 To Allow Player Voiceovers

Sick of crappy voice-acting in games? Why not do your own?

Good morning news-hounds. Live from gamescom, we’re kicking the day off with this beautiful nugget of info from our live presentation of LittleBigPlanet 2. Media Molecule may regret this on account of the profusion of potty-mouthed players, but you can now record your own voice on your Sackbot or Sackboy’s digital performance.

“There is no swear-filter.”

In fact, you can record you own voice or the voice of just about anybody and apply it to everything, from that happy dancing sunflower, through to inanimate level components.

If nothing else, it should bring out yet another layer to players’ creative sides and no doubt lead to a new dawn in LBP machinima. YouTube watch out.
