Need help choosing a console !!

I'd suggest that if you aren't a die hard fan of Halo franchise and gears franchise, then u might as well opt for a gaming PC and a PS3!

I'm excluding racing titles from the exclusive list assuming GT5 makes it out this year!

Personally, I went for the 360 coz, back then it was much cheaper than the PS3 and PS3 games were costing a fortune.....still not sure whether ps3 game pricing has come down or nor!

what kind of games you are more interested in. that should give and idea.

are u a SP oriented guy or like Multiplayer more, if the latter than 360 is better but it does make u pay for online.

nah mate, i've been gaming since i was 12. i can handle anything apart from serious racing :]

and i'll probably be doing only SP coz i dont think i'll spend 3k a year :/ besides im using Tikona Wi Bro -- dunno if it'll connect with the console coz it requires a login every time i wanna browse

the exclusives are more SP oriented plus free online. but if you could wait, then wait till the E3 is over. there might be some big game reveals that might catch your eye for either consoles.

Xbox 360 - 13.5K

Wi Fi connectivity for it - 3.5K

60gb Starter Bundle - 5.5K/Modded 120gb HDD - 3.8K/4GB pen Drive etc

 

So the least you would be spending on Xbox would be - 13.5K + 3.5K + 3.8K = 21.8K for a complete gaming package.

 

PS3 has all these things by default

So 120gb PS3 = 19K

Plus PS3 has Blu Ray support

 

So its a no brainer incase u want to go the legit gaming way. Incase u want to go the other way there is only one console that supports it. So in any case u have your answer sorted out.

 

 

If you are going for the ps3 then go for the latest one which has 45nm chips. Greener and cooler.

If you are planning to keep ur console away from modding it, you don't have to worry about RROD.....it's perfectly covered!

anyway. heard that the Sony customer service is sh*t. so i'm pretty scared about that. one look at their pathetic webpage will scare any potential customer away. heck it doesnt even have a contact info !!

but on the pther hand, MS has an india specific service. that's awesome isnt it ?

its all about u friend not us

its what u like not us....both consoles are best in there places and u just cant compare them

u r more into hardcore gaming than watching movies and other sh*t things

thats what i can figure out from ur comments

now on the consoles from my point of view 360 is way above ps3 if u r into games and if u want to have console that can play costly blue ray disc for the people how are not much satisfied by the dvd available on net and use blue ray player for movies and other things then go for ps3

see i one year ur warranty for both console will finish so after one year if ur console get f**ked then u need to pay for repair ok...

so if u buy games original for one year and dont download pirate games for one year u r well and good into warranty

but after one year what???ps3 consoles games cant be pirated buy 360 games can be...so after one year if u think that u have wasted good amount of money on original games and dont want more to spend on them as warranty is no longer there and want to download and use pirated games then u get hanged if u have ps3 but not so for 360

i dont want to say that pirate stuff is good becz i myself have both consoles and i have all original games no pirate stuff but still if u think like that then 360 is good

and if u dont think like that and think about original games then also just compare the games that are out for 360 only and for ps 3 only u will find them head to head in every game with different manner for example gow2 and gow3 for 360 and gow series for ps3 and using emulator u can play gow2 on pc also second thing halo games including the latest reach is for 360 only and in ps3 uncharated is there and alan wake for 360 only its really a wesome game contender for game of the year for 360 and on the other side its heavy rain which is good enough but not best like alan wake also forza3 for 360 only and many other games for ps 3 only and many others for 360 only so u cant compare them

now the buyer point of view 360 company that is ms is giving away 5 games free with it that includes gow2,halo3,i got forza3 dont know it was seller who game me or ms and other two games dont remember them with 3 or 6 months free golden membership for online play i know u cant play online becz of 3k rs but until its free its good enough and u can also download many dlc and other things for silver membership for which u dont have to pay by using the points u get from the achievements from the game where as for ps3 its not so good

remember for gaming 360 is better and for all other stuff ps3 is better but i prefer to watch movie from internet thats why i never use blue ray player rest is on u

both are very good its u who needs to decide what he wants

i have both but i must say 360 is what i use more than ps3 also controller is way ahead of 360 than ps3
