playstation
Knights Contract Developer-Namco bandai Publisher-Namco Bandai Platform-Xbox 360 and Ps3 Release Date-Sometime in 2011 Game details Other than the brutal sword-slinging action and allusions to magic use, what’s so special about Knights Contract? Imagine, if you will, the hack and slash action of a game like God of War, mixed with the magic casting special abilities found in an action game like Bayonetta, but with cooperative functionality as players take on the roles of either Heinrich the brawler (who is immortal) or Gretchen the magic user (who is not immortal). That setup sounds quite intriguing, so as long as the two gameplay features are rich enough and complement each other well, it sounds like a winner to me, bringing to mind shades of classic fantasy action games of yore, like Gauntlet. Noctis
One important aspect of its gameplay not mentioned here. From the latest Famistu scans it seems the player can never die in the game. You can still loose if your partner (the witch) dies, so that should be an interesting change for the action genre.

Anyways, this looks good. Hack-n-slash FTW!
lithuvien
Finally, some good Hack 'n' Slash. Apart from NGS and HS (Genji too ), there has been an acute shortage of such games.

Tyler
Well you should try Bayonetta then. I used the katana as my main weapon for almost the entire game. And Darksiders has this huge sword as your primary weapon.
