achilles
Guess the best thing to come out of this was the nex Xbox. Not only did they copy Wii games with the kinect ( ) they even made it glossy black. And made it look like a western digital hard drive!! They Crytek exclusive could be good though. Also..why is everyone surprised at the same price thingy? Coz there were no other surprises?
Buzz
Hey they announced early access to all the COD dlcs, that can't go wrong.
Sumanth_Champion
I think they did that pretty well with the Kinect. Since exclusives other than the usual suspects like Halo, GeOW etc don't really make them that much money, their focus this year has been on the Kinect. If it works as well as what the demo showed, this could be a real system seller. in demo most of the things looked like pre recorded . If it is true dont want. otherwise want Dance game
Tyler
http://www.cracked.com/article_18608_the-d...om-e3-2010.htmlThe day the industry died Cracked FTW! The audience at the conference reacted in exactly the same way you react when you notice the homeless guy next to you on the subway is masturbating. I mean, this is it. There are no other huge, ground-breaking games coming. The only other games they showed off at the conference were sequels--the third game in the Gears of War series, the fifth game in the Halo franchise, the seventh game in the Call of Duty series and the 800th game in the Metal Gear series. I'm pretty sure all of those games star space marines, except for Call of Duty, which stars earth marines.

HundredProofSam
http://www.cracked.com/article_18608_the-d...om-e3-2010.htmlThe day the industry died Microsoft sold the device as controllerless gaming - you don't even need a Wiimote for this, you just wave your hands through the air like Minority Report. Sounds like it could be cool. And then they showed us the games, and a bedridden industry started coughing up blood. At one point the virtual cat licked the screen, and the little Asian girl giggled and reacted as if she was being licked and tickled by a real cat. Nemo
^^No,coz the promo had large men with huge swords but by that analogy this should be a hack and slash title too. i mean if u did not know about the title and bioware, what would you think when if u saw this trailer for the very first time ?? same case can be with kingdoms. Plus, theyre counting on people who arent gamers to buy this. To them the cost would be something like $299 peace
Bulovski
At least the little girl had her moves down pat - knowing when to look away when the tiger licked the screen. More than can be said for some of the other actors. *cough* Lollipop *cough*

Noctis
@sam,No, i'm not against exclusives. I love them. But, i love good quality games, i give it a damn whether it's an exclusive or not. Yeah E3 like shows actually meant to show off the power (money power maybe) of particular platforms, with special features......true. But, not everyone can have the best of both worlds. So, they become fanboys eventually. And i hate that. You are missing the main factor here - competition. Its not just with the game industry, what you said applies to various fields where the customers often have to miss out on important features when choosing one of different products. Here the exclusives games are a major factor in selling consoles. If there is only one platform then there is no guarantee that we would have games of the same quality. Right
As far as my understanding goes, MS sees the business different way. The kind of financial support required for a commissioned exclusive or engagement with a dev for long run, should be one of the main reasons why MS isn't going Sony way when it comes to the exclusives. This is for certain that not every game would be Halo or GeOW, and there would be many Alan Wakes, and games with such low sales would bring nothing but losses for MS. In the future, if MS manages to make few of the devs, who have been traditionally Sony loyalists, go multi-platform then that's a victory for MS. Once the titles become multi-plat, we know on which console they look better. As far as showing technical prowess of the system goes, it's just a pimped up 7600 with a decent processor, it can do just so much. :-/

Problem is you need to build games for it from scratch to make effective use of the SPU, that just doesn't happen in Multiplatform games, so they directly port from Xbox 360 which is cheaper and effective to lead on. Anyways the reason they went with cell and an exotic architecture is due the the first party studios they have, or Sony wouldn't have the balls to go through with it.
