Nemo Posted July 3, 2010 Report Share Posted July 3, 2010 I thought Podolski was brilliant today, and he didn't get the credit. If I'm not mistaken, it was his passes that resulted in two goals. It was great to see Schweinsteiger play well, but every time I watch him I'm disappointed that they turned him into a defensive player. He was a brilliant attacking winger in his early days. He showed flashes of that today. peace really ?? i think he has done much better since moving centrally. he has the technique but never had that blistering pace (robben-c ronaldo) to be a top level winger. At club level too his play the past season was much better over all in center. Yes he can play well wide but i believe he will be much better in the long run as a box to box CM, not a full defensive mid though, that he is not; rightly so. He showed flashes of that today. peace podolski created the 2nd goal... giving klose a simple tap in... however here n there he gave the bal away a bit too easily for my liking... schweinsteiger is filling in the role vacated due to injury by ballack... last world cup he was on the wings n he scored two blistering goals just outside the box from the left side.... this time they have ozil on the left wing n muller on the right... so schweinsetiger is playing the defensive/holding midfielder role & is doing a mighty fine job at it.... def man of the match in this game Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
